Our conditions have been carefully prepared by us with respect for our customers, our administrative staff, and our guides, and we strongly recommend that you purchase travel insurance to protect your investment.
Health and Fitness
We recommend you to consult with your doctor before planning the trip. Most of the trekking in the Himalayas requires a certain level of physical fitness.
Insurance
We also follow a condition for our guest to be protected by insurance that covers cancellation, health, emergency evacuation and theft of or damage to baggage and personal effects. In case of emergency evacuation, the total cost must be paid in cash in Nepal unless an insurance company has agreed to pay the costs on your behalf. It is important to note that your insurance policy covers emergency evacuation including alpinism or mountaineering. Rescue insurance is not available in Nepal. However; We do insurance for our staff only (Climbing Guide, Trekking Guide, Cook, Camping staff, Kitchen staff and Porters). And there all clients who take any kind of service from the company have to do their travel, rescue and all kinds of personal insurance in their own respective country. Read more about the insurance
Delays and Changes in itinerary
The guest agrees that Tailored Treks and Expeditions shall not be held responsible for any delays or changes in itineraries caused by an act, omission or other circumstances on the part of domestic airlines or helicopter companies in Nepal, due to natural disasters or conditions beyond the control of the crew. The client understands that such situations may occur, and that we will not be able to inform the passenger of each possible problem.
Responsibility and (Disclaimer)
The Company guarantees that any journey booked by you is guaranteed to run (is), if the Company cancels a guaranteed departure it will refund the price of the trip, or you are entitled to an alternative trip of the same price free of charge. AND WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE TO GOODS OR PERSONAL PROPERTY, OR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL LOSS ARISING THEREOF. And hiking, trekking and mountain climbing in remote parts of the country may result in injury and, in extreme cases, risk due to factors beyond the Company’s control. The Company will make every effort to minimize any risks and hazards, but customers must acknowledge that accidents beyond the Company’s control are not its responsibility. If a customer is injured or sick, all evacuation and hospital expenses, doctor’s fees and repatriation expenses are the passenger’s responsibility. And Secret Himalaya Travels shall not be liable for any refund of the tour fare. It is the client’s responsibility to have valid passports and all visas and that may be required on the selected tour. We do not accept responsibility for failure to obtain these visas for any reason, and do not accept responsibility for any passports or documents left with us for this purpose.
Changes in price
The prices quoted by AlpineTrav Treks and Expeditions are based on airfares, exchange rates and costs in effect on the date shown. We reserve the right to alter our prices if these rates change substantially. We may also apply surcharges in the event of significant changes in airfare, government regulations and taxes. We cannot make refunds to passengers who are adversely affected by changes in exchange rates.
Risk (Assumption)
I understand that participating in the activities offered involves inherent risks, including, but not limited to, the risks described in the description of this activity. After reading this form, I am fully aware of the risks and dangers associated with the Activity, and hereby voluntarily choose to participate in the Activity. I assume full responsibility for any risk of loss, property damage or personal injury sustained as a result of voluntarily participating in the activity. I also acknowledge that AlpineTrav Treks & Expeditions accepts no responsibility for the actions of individuals and companies supplying goods and/or services as part of expedition activities or for delays or complications beyond our control. Accepts any additional costs.

- Personal information received during the booking is only used to issue trekking, climbing, restricted area permits and national park or conservation area entry permits.

Payment
An initial deposit of US$ 20% per person is required to book the trip. You have to pay us in full before or after you come to Kathmandu, Nepal.
You may send the $20% deposit via wire transfer to Nepal. You can make the final payment in cash once you arrive in Kathmandu. Please note that we discourage payment by credit card because this incurs an additional service charge that we have not included in the cost of your trek.
Refunds
- If you cancel your trip 15 days before departure, 90% of the total cost will be the cancellation charge.
- If you cancel your trip 30 days before departure, the cancellation charge will be 75% of the deposit amount.
- If you cancel your trip 45 days before departure, the cancellation charge will be 50% of the deposit amount.
- No refunds will be made if you voluntarily leave a trip for any reason after the trip has begun.
- The company will not cover any costs regarding accommodation, transportation, meals and any other services incurred while returning from that trip.
- Refunds will be at the discretion of the company if you are involuntarily forced to leave a trip for any reason.
- No refunds will be made for any accommodation, transport, sightseeing, meals or services not utilized.
Note: This is based on your scheduled arrival date in Nepal
A tour will not be canceled on our behalf unless we are forced to do so due to unusual or unforeseen circumstances such as a major natural disaster, major political unrest or war. If we cancel the tour we will immediately refund all payments made to us, i.e. including the deposit. We will not be liable to refund any additional costs incurred by you (such as insurance, visas, vaccinations and other incidental costs).
