The best time to visit Tibet is from May to October. During this time the weather is not too cold above 10 degrees Celsius and the air is also highly oxygenated. Spring (April-May)
In the spring season, the ice melts and the weather warms. Along with this, the journey out of Lhasa has become enjoyable as the roads have been blocked in remote areas due to snow. Tibet reopens to foreigners in early April. It is usually closed for tourists during the months of February and March due to local festivals.

Summer (June-August)
The weather in summer is usually warm during the day and cool in the mornings and nights. In Tibet, the summer season is the busiest travel period of the year. However, it will not hinder your trip as the rain will not last for many hours.

Autumn (September-October)

This is the best time for trekking and trekking in Tibet.

Since there are fewer tourists in the winter season than other seasons, you can get a discount if you visit Lhasa during this time. Note that Tibet is usually closed for foreign trips in February and March.

Explore around Lhasa and visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Street, Norbulingka, Drepung Monastery, Sera Monastery under the clear blue sky and warm sun.
