Latest Nepal Arrival Protocols

The Government of Nepal has revoked all the previous arrival and departure protocols for the tourists visiting Nepal. With this new protocol, Nepal has eased the entry protocols by removing all pre-arrival testing requirements.

A new arrival protocol is introduced, on which fully vaccinated travellers will be allowed to visit Nepal without having to do any pre-arrival Covid testing.

“Fully vaccinated international travellers can enter the country by just showing that they have been vaccinated,” said an official of the Department of Immigration.

Travellers who have not been vaccinated or have received only one jab need to produce a negative COVID-19 test (RT-PCR, True NAAT, Gene Xpert) report not older than 72 hours from the starting of the journey.

But arriving visitors still need to fill the online form at https://ccmc.gov.np/arms/person_add_en.php and submit its printed copy at the airport. The form is used for the purpose of contact tracing if any is required.

This new protocol removes all previous regulations, including the quarantine requirement.

We recommend you check with your airlines, transit countries, etc. if they require pre-arrival Covid-19 testing.
