Monsoon Tour In Nepal
Monsoon rains start in mid-June and last till mid-September. Weather has mixed results for tour activities depending on activity and altitude. When monsoon clouds come, it stays cloudy for a long time, even when it doesn’t rain. Some days there will be continuous light rain while other days there is a chance of heavy rain for an hour or two. Increased temperatures and humidity will be cooled by rain. The Himalayan peaks can be seen from vantage points above 3,000 meters at certain times of the day. Flights from Kathmandu are also guaranteed to visit Everest every day.
Travel Nepal in Summer
Summer in Nepal is also monsoon. June, July and August are the hottest months of the year. It is definitely not the best time for many treks in the foothills of the Himalayas. But the monsoon rains have not had much impact on some trekking routes, Nepal tours and Bhutan and Tibet tours. Although the annual average rainfall of the country is 1600 mm, it is only 300 mm in the Himalayan region.
[In fact, summer is the best time to visit Mustang, Nar Phu and Dolpo in Tibet or Nepal, as the monsoon rains have less impact on the Himalayan region]
Similarly, a tour of Nepal and Bhutan that involves driving, heritage sightseeing and cultural immersion activities are less affected by the monsoon rain. Decreased prices, less crowd and the authentic cultural experience are the few benefits of travelling to Nepal during summer.

The festivity gets more exciting when they start to splash mud on each other. Traditional lunch is served with beaten rice, yogurt and home made brew.
Spiritual journey in June, July and August
It is possible to travel and visit cultural sites during the day as it rains mostly in the evening and at night. Buddhist pilgrimages visit the heritage, cultural and spiritual sites around Kathmandu and Lumbini. Summer season in Nepal is also monsoon season. But the rains also make visiting the sites around tropical Lumbini fun. The temperature in Kathmandu will be 25 degrees and around Lumbini will be 29 degrees.
