First to Second Solar-Project in Mirge
In February 2019/2020 the first to second solar-project of the German university of advanced science HFT-Stuttgart took place in the Nepalese village Dolakha Mirge, located about a one-day bus-travel from Kathmandu. Together with students and coworkers we installed 50 small photovoltaic systems in the huts and houses of the villagers. Ram from AlpineTrav Treks & Expeditions company did all the local organisation work – and he did it absolutely excellent! He organized all travelling, the hotel stays in Kathmandu, the tent-accommodation with full catering support in Mirge, as well as the technical equipment, which had to be bought locally from Nepalese dealers. Ram is an perfect and absolutely reliable organiser. In addition a heartly relationship with Ram and his hole family had grown already during a prior project, resulting in a pleasant and enjoyable atmosphere. Thank you Ram for your great job!
