AlpineTrav Treks & Expedition applies the following booking conditions to all trips operated by the company:

Health and fitness:
We recommend that you consult your doctor before planning a trip. Most treks in the Himalayas require a certain level of physical fitness.

Insurance:
We also undertake to protect our guests by insurance that covers cancellation, accident, health, emergency evacuation, and loss, theft or damage to goods and personal effects. In case of emergency withdrawal, the total cost must be paid in cash in Nepal unless an insurance company agrees to pay the cost on your behalf. It is important to note that your insurance policy covers emergency evacuation including alpinism or mountaineering. Rescue insurance is not available in Nepal.

Delays and changes in itinerary:
The guest agrees that AlpineTrav Treks & Expeditions shall not be responsible for any delay or change in itinerary due to any act, omission or other circumstances of domestic airlines or helicopter companies in Nepal due to natural calamities or circumstances beyond its control. of the crew. The customer understands that such situations may occur, and that we will not be able to notify the passenger of every possible problem.

  • The trip excursions as set out in the itinerary will be adhered to as far as possible, but these are to be used as a guide only. The company or trek staff may make.
  • Omissions or alterations to the itinerary and excursions as they deem it to be necessary. Some excursions may be inaccessible for any number of reasons.

Responsibilities:

  1. We reserve the right to refuse to continue to carry any client/guest (s) causing inconvenience or annoyance to other guests, or creating difficulties that would hamper the smooth running of a trip.
  2. We shall not be liable for any loss or damage to baggage or personal possessions, or any consequential losses resulting there-from.
  3. If a client is injured or becomes ill, all evacuation and hospital expenses, doctors’ fees and repatriation costs are the passenger’s responsibility, and travels shall not be liable for company refund of the fare.
  4. It is the client’s responsibility to have valid passports and all visas and that may be required on the selected tour.
  5. We do not accept responsibility for failure to obtain these visas for any reason, and do not accept responsibility for any passports or documents left with us for this purpose.

Changes of price:
The prices quoted by AlpineTrav Treks & Expeditions are based on airfares, exchange rates and costs in effect on the date shown. We reserve the right to alter our prices if these rates change substantially. We may also apply surcharges in the event of significant changes in airfare, government regulations. We cannot make refunds to passengers who are adversely affected by changes in exchange rates.

Risk Assumption (assessment)
The client understands that during the course of the trip, certain risks and dangers may occur, including, but not limited to, the hazards of traveling in mountainous terrain, accident or illness in remote places without medical facilities, and the forces of nature. The passenger agrees to assume all risks associated with the journey, and agrees that no liability will be attached to the company or its outfitters, employees or agents, or to any member of the tour group in respect to personal injury, illness or delay of passenger, or for any loss or damage to the property of the passenger during the course of the trip, howsoever caused.

How to Book:
To reserve any of our adventures and/or trips, you will need to complete the Booking Application Form and forward it to us prior to the trip start date by e-mail, along with a deposit of 30% for trekking/hiking /biking tours. You need to submit a scan copy of each passport of the team members to our office via email including passport size picture and flight ticket reservation. With the remaining 70% due upon arrival in Kathmandu.

Payment option:
You may send the 30% deposit via wire transfer or western union money transfer to Nepal. You can make the final payment in cash once you arrive in Kathmandu. Please note that we discourage payment by credit card because this incurs an additional service charge that we have not included in the cost of your trek.

Refunds of Amount:
Company do not make any refunds if you leave a trip for any reason whatsoever, either voluntarily or involuntarily, after it has begun. There will not be refunds for any meals, accommodation and services not used.

Cancellation of trip:
If you have to cancel the trip; the following charges will be made:

Time of cancellation:

  1. A charge of 10% will be applied for any cancellation made prior to 30 days of departure date.
  2. A charge of 25% will be applied for any cancellation made prior to 21 days of departure date.
  3. A charge of 50% will be applied for any cancellation made prior to 10 days of departure date.
  4. No refund for any cancellation made there after.

If you do not show up at the date, we will assume you have been delayed and will wait for you to contact us with your new expected arrival date. If you do not contact us within 72 hours we will assume you have cancelled the tour. Any monies paid will not be refunded.

Note: This is based on your scheduled arrival date!

The tour will not be cancelled from our side unless we are forced to do so because of unusual or unforeseeable circumstances, such as a major natural disaster, major political unrest or war. If we cancel the tour we will promptly refund all payments made to us, i.e. including the deposit. We shall not be liable to refund any additional expenses that you may have incurred (such as insurance, visas, vaccinations and other incidental costs).
