Annapurna I situates at 55 km long massif surrounded by Kali Gandhaki gorge on the west, the Marsyangdi River on the north and east and Pokhara valley on the south. This is the tenth highest peak situated in the north central Nepal. As Annapurna peaks are the most dangerous mountains to climb in the world, this peak is too considered the most dangerous and highly technical peak to climb where there is a higher risk of avalanche on both north and south face.
Outline Itinerary (Annapurna I South Face)
Day 01 : Arrive in Kathmandu.
Day 02 – 3 : Stay in Kathmandu for official and other preparations.
Day 04 : Fly to Pokhara and drive to Birethati. Overnight at hotel
Day 05 : Trek to Gandruk (2,012m). Overnight at tented
Day 06 : Trek to Chomrong (2,170m). Overnight at camp
Day 07 : Trek to Dovan (2,505m). Overnight at camp
Day 08 : Trek to Deurali (3,230m). Overnihgt at camp
Day 09 : Trek to Macchapuchare Base camp (3,700m).
Day 10 : Rest for acclimatization. Overnight at
Day 11 : Trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m).
Day 12 : Set up Base camp.
Day 13 – 37 : Climbing period.
Day 38 : Cleaning up Base Camp.
Day 39 : Trek to Himalaya hotel (2,920m).
Day 40 : Trek to Jinuwa danda (Hot spring).
Day 41 : Trek to Landruk, overnight at Lodge
Day 42 : Drive to Pokhara overnight at hotel near fewa lake.
day 43 : Fly to Kathmandu, transfer to hotel
Day 44 : Extra day in Kathmandu.
Day 45 : Fly back home.
