Spread over 968 sq km. It is the largest national park in Nepal covering the area from Babai River Valley to Churia Hills and Geruwa River. Bardia National Park was once a Royal Hunting Reserve which was later given National Park status in 1988. Explore one of Nepal’s most undisturbed forests with a variety of wildlife roaming the dense sal forest. Most of Bardia National Park consists of swamps, savannas and riverine forests. More than 230 species of native and migratory birds can be seen in the marsh where birds from as far as Siberia migrate here every year. More than 30 species of mammals and various species of reptiles, snakes and amphibians are found in the dense forests of Bardia National Park.

Walk close to a one-horned rhinoceros and watch the activities of swamp deer, blackbuck, langur monkeys, rhesus monkeys and other mammals from a safe distance.

Day 01 :

Arrive at Kathmandu Airport and transfer to hotel

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Nepal. After completing visa formalities and collecting your luggage at the airport, please exit the arrival hall. Your tour leader will be waiting for you just outside the arrival hall and will take you to hotel in Kathmandu. Please look for a placard with your name on it at the exit of the arrival hall. Then depending on the time, you will have time to walk around the hotel and familiarize yourself near hotel.

Day 02 :

Explore the highlights of Kathmandu

Today is a full-day Kathmandu tour; in which you will explore various UNESCO sites in Kathmandu. There are a total of 10 UNESCO sites in Nepal and you will find seven UNESCO sites in the Kathmandu Valley alone within a distance of 20 km. Then we will start our tour with a visit to Pashupatinath, the holiest Hindu temple in Nepal. We will witness the Hindu cremation ceremony at Aryaghat, located on the banks of the Bagmati River. And we will visit Boudhanath, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal. We can see the rich Tibetan culture at Boudhanath. Similarly, we will end the day’s tour by visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square, the old royal residence of Nepal.

Day 03 :

Flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj and Transfer to Hotel

You will fly from Kathmandu International Airport to Nepalgunj Domestic Airport. Upon your arrival at Nepalgunj Airport, our representatives will welcome you and transfer you to the hotel, where you will spend the night. After reaching the hotel and freshening up, we encourage you to walk through the surrounding communities and interact with the locals. Additionally, you can visit the Bardiya National Park Visitor Center and inspect the Crocodile Breeding Center. Meals will be served at the hotel and then, you will have complete rest to prepare for the tour.

Day 04 :

Walking tour of Bardiya National Park including animal tracking

Our representatives will pick you up in the morning and you will be served breakfast at the hotel. After having lunch, you will start your trek towards Bardiya National Park. Today, you can expect a full day jungle safari on the trek. Moreover, you can also see various animals like one-horned rhinoceros and elephants. Moreover, if you are lucky, there is a good chance of spotting a Bengal tiger on the trek as well. Similarly, you will have a packed lunch as a picnic somewhere in the jungle in the afternoon and then go for a walk again for some time. By evening, you will return to the lodge, where a delicious meal will be waiting for you. After having lunch, we recommend you to take a deep rest because you will visit the jungle again the next day.

Day 05 :

Drive to Karnali Bridge and canoe on the Karnali River

The third day of this Bardiya Jungle Safari tour is dedicated to fun/adventure activities. You spend this day by the water. After having breakfast at the hotel, our representatives will take you to the Karnali Bridge. From there, you will go on a boat ride on the water, which is one of the best things to do during this tour. The boat ride also serves as a great opportunity to see many reptiles and amphibians like crocodiles. Also, you can see many birds sunbathing on the river banks or catching fish in the river. In between, we provide you with packed food as a snack. After enjoying the whole day on the Karnali River, you will return to the hotel to have your dinner and relax.

Day 06 :

A day for jeep safari

Our representatives will pick you up in the morning and call you for breakfast. After a delicious breakfast at the hotel, a nature guide will take you on a beautiful jeep safari inside the Bardiya forest. A jeep safari is one of the best ways to get close-up views of wild animals and birds. You will travel around the Bardiya National Park for 6 to 8 hours in a jeep. For lunch, you will get a packed lunch and it will be a picnic again in the forest. And after exploring the Bardiya National Park for 6 to 8 hours, you will return to the hotel and have your dinner.

Day 07 :

fly from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu

Today is the day you will return to Kathmandu. But before that, you will have a cup of coffee and breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, our representatives will drive you from the hotel to Nepalgunj Airport, from where you will board your flight back to Kathmandu.

International Departure
