Season Low seasons are usually January, February, June, July, August and December. The rest are high seasons, which are often more expensive.

Details Itinerary

This flight takes you from Tribhuvan International Airport to Paro Airport in Bhutan to the Great Himalayas, offering you some of the most beautiful views of the world's highest snow peaks. Entering the Paro Valley, you will see the Rinpung Dzong (Spiritual and Temporal Seat), the National Museum and the town of Paro. Our representative will welcome you at the airport and drive you through the charming valley of Paro to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. The distance from Paro Airport to Thimphu is 55 km and takes 1.45 hours along the banks of Pachu River and Wangchu River, and through rice fields, orchards and farms. Dinner and overnight at stay in Thimphu.

After breakfast, you will have a full day tour, you will visit the Memorial Chorten (Stupa), the most impressive stupa built in 1974 by Queen Mother Ashi Phuntso Choden in memory of the third King of Bhutan; the National Library which has a vast collection of ancient Buddhist texts, manuscripts and modern academic books; Handicraft emporiums that showcase beautifully woven clothing for men and women, crafted products and other decorative items; Painting School, famous for traditional thangka paintings, from where you can buy them if you like; Institute of traditional medicine where abundant herbal medicines in the state are prepared Tasichodezong. Dinner and overnight stay at Thimphu.

After breakfast today, you will return to Paro for a challenging trek to the Tiger's Nest which is about 3 hours of walking and you can also take a horse ride. Taktshang which means tiger's wind, a Buddhist monastery perched on a steep cliff is another awe-inspiring place. After lunch you will visit Ta Dzong built by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel in 1646, the current National Museum which once served as a watchtower for Paro Dzong; Drukgyel Dzong built by Zhabdrung in 1647 to commemorate the victory over Tibetan invaders in 1644 is now in ruins; Kichu Lhakhang is one of the holiest temples in Bhutan, built by the Tibetan King Songtsen Gompo in 636 AD. It features a crowned Buddha (Jowo) and Padmasambhava. Dinner and overnight stay in Paro.
