Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, please exit the arrival hall. Your tour leader will wait for you outside the arrival hall and take you to your hotel in Paro. Please look for the placard with your name on it as you exit the arrivals hall. And you will be transferred to hotel and check in hotel, visit Paro festival in afternoon.

Attend the half-day annual Paro Tsechu, Bhutan's largest and grandest festival. Masked dancers perform ritualized reenactments of the mythic struggle between the forces of good and evil. Along with Tibetan musicians and sacred clowns (atsaras), Tsechu is a sight and cultural spectacle unique to Bhutan.

In the morning we will visit the festival and in the afternoon drive to the northern side of Paro Valley and visit Kichu Lhakang; It is the oldest temple in Bhutan with a magical orange tree that bears fruit all year round and a visit to Paro town.

Check out from the hotel and drive to Thimphu, capital city of Bhutan. Visit Memorial Chorten built in the memory of late 3rd king of Bhutan, further drive to Buddha viewpoint. We have magnificent view of the whole valley from here; visit Changangkha Lhakhang, oldest temple in the valley. In the afternoon, your journey will start towards Punakha.

Upon Arrival in Punakha, visit the traditional Hand Made Paper Mill, School of Arts and Crafts where students learn 13 different arts used predominantly in Bhutan, Folk Heritage Museum, National Library and the Traditional Institute of Medicine. Drive to the Zilukha nunnery to meet the nuns and interact with them. Lunch in the town and drive to Punakha through Dochula pass (3200 mts) If the weather permits one can enjoy a spectacular view of the highest mountains of Bhutan at a site that stretches almost 180 degrees. Walk around the 108 stupas and continue to sub tropical valley of Punakha

Morning drive to visit Punakha Dzong (Fort), which houses the most elaborate temple in the country. It is a fine example of Bhutanese rich art and architecture. Drive ahead to visit the Souvenir Making Center for Girls supported by Yuva Vikas Fund. Interact with the students and return to the hotel for lunch. After lunch we have time to retrace our steps above Dochu La for a second chance at that wonderful view of the Himalayan mountain range. Returning to Chujum or Sangam we catch a glimpse of three shrines in Nepalese, Tibetan and Bhutanese styles that were built near the checkpoint to ward off evil spirits. Time permitting travel can be broken up with a visit to Tamchog Lhakhang, built by Thangtong Gyalpo (the so-called iron bridge builder). This 14th-century saint introduced the art of building suspension bridges with iron chains; The only way to reach his temple is through one of these bridges. One of the most amazing and important pieces of architecture in Bhutan, Taktsang Goemba defies logic, gravity, and logic. Legend has it that this rock was where Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) landed on the back of a flying tiger and brought Buddhism to Bhutan from Tibet. An early start is advised for the two-hour climb to Tiger's Nest Viewpoint to avoid the scorching sun. Descend steeply, then climb up to the monastery, passing a waterfall and entering through the main doors lined with frescoes. Retrace our steps or alternatively (if time and energy levels permit) visit more remote temples and monasteries.

Druk Air or Bhutan Air departs early in the morning to avoid adverse weather conditions so after breakfast, your transfer to the airport will be arranged between 5 AM and 12 PM according to the flight schedule.
