Trip Itinerary

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Nepal. After completing the visa formalities and collecting your luggage at the airport, please exit the arrival hall. Your tour leader will wait for you outside the arrival hall and take you to your hotel in Kathmandu. Please see your name placard when exiting the arrival hall. And upon reaching the hotel welcome drinks will be served and after you freshen up, your trek leader will brief you about your trip in the evening at your hotel lobby.

After breakfast, we embarked on a guided tour of major historical sites in Kathmandu. We will visit iconic monuments, temples, palaces and UNESCO World Heritage sites including Boudhnath. The more diverse cultural environment of the valley of Kathmandu welcomes us with warm hospitality. At Boudhnath, one of the largest stupas in Asia, we get a deeper insight into Buddhism.

We had an early breakfast at the hotel and boarded the vehicle that would take us to Jiri; It is a long ride through different landscapes. Jiri is a busy market area with many lodges and shops. After reaching Jiri we freshen up and either relax or explore the city. We will adjust here for the night.

Today our trek begins! We start our trek from Jiri to Barabise. After breakfast we leave Jiri and head towards the next destination. As we start the trek, the trek begins with a climb, from today we leave the tourist trail behind and will find only a few teahouses on the trail. And we are trekking; We reach Naho village, right after the village there is a dirt road and right next to it is a small road that climbs uphill, we take this trail. On the way up we travel through thick rhododendron and pine forest, soon we reach a pass and then we start to descend. Continue trekking along the dirt road until we enter the trail that enters the forest, you can see different species of birds in the forest. And descending and crossing Jhyaku river we enter Sherkapti village, a beautiful village inhabited by Jirel community. This village is worth stopping for lunch. After lunch we climb to the Jhanku Dolakha monastery in the village and follow the back trail. then we will descend again; We descend from another forest. After the forest the path gradually climbs up. The trek continues for a few more hours. From where we descend and cross the Kakachapa river. After crossing the river which has to be crossed by throwing stones, we slowly climb uphill for a few minutes and then climb uphill through the forest until we reach the Putchar kharka. It is a beautiful place with only one house; This place offers a beautiful view of Gauri Shankar. We rest the night in our tented camp.

After breakfast we leave Putcharkharka and pass through the forest to reach Kaichapa river, after crossing the river we gradually ascend through the forest. A few minutes from here we will reach the small, sprawling village of Suri. After the village we cross some gem walls and arrive at a Y-junction from where we choose to trek through a flat trail which then descends gradually and we reach a stupa from where the trail rises. We continue our trek further down until we reach the Tamakoshi river, after the village we walk along a small path above a small pond. We choose this trail because it is nice to walk and goes through the countryside instead of hiking a dirt trail. This trail saves a lot of time as in a few hours we will reach Barley, a small town with markets and restaurants. We stop here for lunch. After lunch we cross the suspension bridge and continue trekking on the way up, we cross a small stream and join a paddy field path that climbs steeply. After a few hours, we will continue the trek and reach our final destination of the day, a Tamang ethnic village known as Laduk. And we will rest for the night in our tents.

Today is the day of a long and challenging trek; After breakfast we started walking quickly. Leaving the village behind, we follow the same path along the terraced fields and soon enter the forest. After a few minutes we will climb even higher following the river below us, we will then arrive at a Y-junction from where we will choose the left trail that goes down. The trail passes the stupas and enters the small settlement of Soyasan, just after the village the path leads to another small river. After crossing the river we slowly climb up past a small village school called Charsapa, we trek along the rugged landscape and views of the snow capped mountains. We pass Chilankha and Loting village, descend from Lhoting to Singti river and climb up to Bigu Gompa across the river. On the trail we will pass Alampu village, many stupas and gem walls until we reach our destination. After we reach Bigu Gompa, we will set up our tent for the night.

After the agony of walking up and down the forest path, today we will stay here for rest and also visit this sacred Bigu Gompa.

Another long day's trek after rest; After breakfast we join the trail again. Leaving Bingu Gompa the trail starts descending through the forest, after an hour of trekking we reach a bridge and once we cross the bridge we go to a dirt road from where we start climbing. The dirt trail goes straight to the pass but there are many shortcuts from the dirt road, we are taking these shortcuts to the pass. Along the trail you can observe the changes in landscape as we hike through bamboo forests, then more grassy and rocky landscapes, and finally through rhododendron and pine forests. As we trek higher we will be treated to views of the Himalayan peaks (Gaurishankar, Mount Chekigo and Mount Bamogo). A few hours of trekking takes us to the top of the pass, from here you can't see the mountain views but you can clearly see the valley we are about to enter. After the pass, we descend, crossing the road several times, a few hours of hiking will take us to the village of Dolangsa. In Dolangsa, if you want we can visit a monastery here, after the village we go down through agricultural fields until we reach the river. We have to cross the river by throwing stones and after crossing the river we enter the road again. Following the road we pass another village known as Photeng and descend to finally reach Duruthali village. It is a small village with a few lodges and a base stop. We will stay here for the night.

Today is the last day of our trek; After our morning breakfast we continue our journey until we reach Barabise. Barabise is a market area, where there are some lodges and restaurants and a bus stop, and after lunch we board the vehicle to Kathmandu. After we reach Kathmandu you will be transferred to your hotel, you can rest at the hotel or explore Kathmandu in the evening.

We will wake up late and have a good proper breakfast. You will have the whole day to yourselves to either rest in your hotel or explore Kathmandu valley. We will spend the night in Kathmandu.

Thank you for joining us on this trek and it has been a pleasure getting to know you during this time. We hope this venture has enriched your experience with happy memories. Keep in touch and hope to hear from you soon
