Chisapani Nagarkot Trekking offers a perfect blend of cultural insights and natural magnificence of spectacular snow-capped panoramic mountain views during sunrise and sunset that makes it an ideal short and easy trekking holiday in Nepal. Chisapani Nagarkot Trekking can be done in 10 Days (including Arrival and Departure Day). This is an extended version of our Chisapani Nagarkot Trekking to explore more around the popular Namobuddha Monastery, Dhulikhel, and Bhaktapur sightseeing.

Itinerary Overview

Our trek start from short drive towards Sundarijal; and this area popular picnic spot for locals living at the center of the city. As we move ahead, we pass through several stone steps, the bank of rivers, striking waterfalls, river dams, and beautiful rhododendron forests.

Observing the cultural mix settlements of Tamang and Brahmins around the trails, we arrive at Chisapani. After trekking for approximately seven hours from Chauki Bhanjyang, we arrive at Nagarkot. During clear sky, large Himalayan range from Dhaulagiri, Manaslu to Mt. Everest and even Kanchenjunga is in sight. We will wake up early in the morning to view the magical sunrise panoramic views Himalayas. Then, you have an option to either visit the nearby world heritage site of Changu Narayan temple. As well as, extend this trip and drive to Dhulikhel, visit Namobuddha monastery, and go for Bhaktapur Durbar square sightseeing;..! Then – Kathmandu!!

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu Airport [1,350m/4,455ft] and transfer to hotel.
Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal and trek – Chisapani [2,300m/7,546ft], 4-5 hours
Day 3: Trek from Chisapani to Nagarkot [2,175m/7,135ft], 5-6 hours
Day 4: Trek from Nagarkot to Dhulikhel [1,550m/5,085ft], 5-6 hours
Day 5: Trek from Dhulikhel to Namo Buddha [1,750m/5,742ft], 3-4 hours
Day 6: Drive from Namo Buddha to Bhaktapur UNESCO World Heritage Site then return to Kathmandu, around 5-6 hours

  • Travel insurance has to cover emergency high-altitude rescue and evacuation along with medical coverage.
