Dhampus Peak (6012m) is located to North-east of the gigantic Dhaulagiri massif. The peak is easy to climb. It does not require any technical climbing skills. This peak is the perfect spot from where you can get views of the awe-inspiring altitude variation between the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges. You will get great close-up views of the Tukuche peak, Dhaulagiri I (8163m), Nilgiri (6940m), Sita Chuchura (6611m), Tukche Peak (6920m), Thorong Peak (6484m), Tilicho peak (7134m), Yakawa Kan (6482m), Mukut Himal (6639m), Puth Hiunchuli (7246m), Tangu Peak (6197m), Tsarste (6347m) and Hongde peak (6556m) during this expedition. Beautiful hamlets around the valley of Kaligandaki are explored. The route to Dhampus takes you from Kathmandu to Pokhara by bus. Then the trekking period begins, you will pass through several villages including: Tato Pani (2500m/8530ft), Marpha (2670m/8759ft). The caravan route goes through several traditional villages, rhododendron forests and crosses numerous passes with stunning views of the Himalaya.
Dhampus peak climbing route goes through the very attractive natural environment. Neatly terraced rice fields, colorful Rhododendron forest , artistic waterfalls, pristine Rivers and striking glimpse of the numerous beautiful white capped peaks always wins your heart. Day 04: Drive from Pokhara to Tatopani (1,100m), 5 hrs.
Day 05: Trek from Tatopani to Ghasa (2,020m), walk – Duration: 6/7 hrs.
Day 06: Trek from Ghasa to Tukuche (2,590m), walk – Duration: 5/6 hrs.
Day 07: Trek from Tukuche to Yak Kharka (3,900m), walk – Duration 5/6 hrs.
Day 08: Trek to Dhampus / Thapa Peak Base Camp (5,150m), walk – Duration: 6 hrs.
Day 09: Rest day / Preparation day for Climb
Day 10: Summit to the Dhampus Peak (6,012m), and back to the Base camp
Day 11: Trek Base camp to Marpha (2,670m), walk – Duration: 6 hrs.
Day 12: From Marpha to Jomsom (2,743), walk – Duration: 4/5 hrs.
Day 13: Fly back to Pokhara (8,50m), within 25 minutes at Domestic airport and transfer to hotel.
Day 14: Drive back to Kathmandu (1,350m), by private Vehicle, 6/7 hrs.

Personal climbing Equipment:
(Climbing Boot, Crampons, Harness, ICE-Axe, Carabiners Lock/Unlock, Prusik loops/Rope, Tape slings, Climbing helmet, Ascender/Descender, Ice hammer, Snow Shovel, Eight figure, Knife).


Personal Clothing:
(Down Sleeping Bag, Down Jacket, Gore-Tex jacket, Trouser, Trekking boot, Rucksack, Get up Boot clover, Snow Glass, Woolen Gloves, Down Trouser, Wind mask for climbing, Climbing gloves, Water Bottle, Water purification tables, Socks for climbing, Personal Medicine).

General Information

Passport & Visa:
You need to have a Visa to enter in Nepal while travelling. The arrival visa is available at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu where you can simply get On Arrival Visa. You must enter Nepal within six months from the visa issued date. Your total stay is counted starting from the day you enter Nepal. You will be charged $ 25 USD for 15 days or $40 USD as visa application fees for 30 days tourist visa to the forefingers except for Chinese and India. For those tourists who have Indian and Chinese passports then you do not need a visa (Free Visa).


When do you summit Peak climbing:
The best time for Peak Climbing is during autumn and Spring Season. These seasons have very ideal climate and weather for peak climbing. During the months of September to November and March to May, the weather is mostly clear with no rainfall destroying your trekking and climbing routes. Enjoying in this period Also, with the clear weather, you get the best views and best and clear view. The temperature of the region during this time is also favorable for mountain climbing and trekking.


Travel insurance:
Travel insurance is mandatory for trekkers in participating in any trekking and Peak climbing programs in the Himalayas. Getting travel insurance, especially while traveling in the mountain areas is like security on which you can rely and enjoy your trip without any worries.
