Ghorepani trek for family is a short trek in Annapurna region where you can enjoy the nature and culture of Nepal with your whole family. Ghorepani trek is low altitude and short trek that families can comfortably enjoy with children too. This evergreen trekking course takes you to beautiful ethnic villages and fulfills your desire to be in close proximity to the mighty snow capped Annapurna and Dhaulagiri massifs.

Our Ghorepani trek starts with a flight to Pokhara. This fantastic flight offers you great views of mountains, rivers and picturesque mountains. And a quick drive from Pokhara takes you to Nayapul, from where you begin your trek through rich forest on flag-stone steps. The trail takes you past traditional villages, rice fields and waterfalls while trekking through dense rhododendron and oak forests. One of the major attractions of this trek is the magnificent sunrise over the Himalayas which can be seen from Poonhill 3210 meters in Ghorepani. Another highlight of this trek is the stopover at Gurung village in Ghandruk. The local food, hospitable culture and the breathtaking mountain view of Ghandruk are celebrated by everyone who comes here. Here, your kids can enjoy the traditional Gurung wear available at the Gurung Museum. Being a trek of moderate difficulty, the entire family can enjoy this trek. therefore we are known for our excellent services and family-friendly trek packages. We take care of your accommodation, transportation, permits, and every other travel need. Additionally, we take special care of your children by providing porter assistance, comfortable accommodations, and maintaining a height within your youngest child’s “safe zone.”

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu Airport [1,350m/4,430ft] and transfer to hotel.
Day 2: Flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara [827m/2,714ft] and explore.
Day 3: Drive from Pokhara to Nayapul and trek to Ulleri [2,050m/6,726ft], 5-6 hours
Day 4: Trek from Ulleri to Ghorepani [2,750m/9,033ft], 4-5 hours
Day 5: Hike up to Poonhill [3,210m/10,532ft] and trek to Tadapani [2,700m/5,586ft], 5-6 hours
Day 6: Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk [1,940m/6,365ft], 4-5 hours
Day 7: Trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara [827m/2,714ft], around 5-6 hours
Day 8: Morning Hike to World Peace Stupa and fly back to Kathmandu
Day 9: International departure

  • Personal expenses (shopping and snacks, alcohol, Wi-Fi, telephone call, battery re-charge fee, extra porters, etc
  • Personal clothing and trekking gear.
  • Travel insurance has to cover emergency high-altitude rescue and evacuation along with medical coverage.
  • Tips, gifts, souvenirs for involved trekking staff.
  • Additional costs due to delays caused by circumstances outside company control like landslides, weather conditions, itinerary modifications due to safety concerns, illness, change of government policies, strikes, etc.
