Goecha La Trek is an outstanding one in the isolated area of west Sikkim. Sikkim shares its border with Tibet to the North, Bhutan to the East, Nepal to the West and the State of West Bengal (India) to the South. It is a beautiful land of monumental mountains from which Khangchendzonga;  the world’s third highest mountain peak of the world can be viewed. The trek itself can be challenging, in terms of distances to be covered in a day. One needs to get properly acclimatized due to the huge changes in altitude over a small time during this trek. It is one of the greenest regions in the world, remains one of the top things to do for any holiday maker in the Himalayas untouched by any effluence, these forests support a fine ecosystem, with numerous species of unusual flora and fauna. This trek  offers stunning Himalayan views, beautiful landscape, Lush valley and  Mixed Sikkim culture. This trek towards Khangchendzonga situating at an elevation of 6,000 ft in sub-tropic moss-laden forests of pine, magnolia and rhododendron steadily progressing upwards through wild and uninhabited alpine landscapes finally takes us up to Goechala Pass, opposite to the eastern phase of  Khangchendzonga (8435m).


Outline Itinerary (Goecha – La Trek)

Day 01 : Arrival at Kathmandu, Tribhuvan International Airport, transfer to hotel by our representative
Day 02 : Kathmandu to Bhadrapur fly – Duration: 45 minutes and scenic drive to Darjeeling (2042m) 4-5 hrs
Day 03 : Sightseeing at Darjeeling overnight at Wonder Woods Boutique Hotel
Day 04 : Darjeeling to Yuksom (1780m) drive – Duration: 5 hrs
Day 05 : Trek Yuksom to Tshok (3030m) walk – Duration: 7 hrs
Day 06 : Trek Tshok to Dzongri (4020m) walk – Duration: 6 hrs
Day 07 : Rest day at Dzongri for acclimatization
Day 08 : Trek to Lamuney (4200m) walk – Duration: 6 hrs
Day 09 : Lamuney to Goecha-La view point (4984m) and back to Thangsing (3800m) walk – Duration: 7-8 hrs
Day 10 : Trek Thangsing to Tshok (3800m) walk – Duration: 6 hrs
Day 11 : Trek Tshok to Yuksom (1780m) walk – Duration: 6 hrs
Day 12 : Yuksom to Gangtok (1650m) drive – Duration: 5 hrs
Day 13 : Gangtok Sightseeing: After Breakfast, we visit the famous monastery of Rumtek and after Lunch Cottage Industry, Flower Show and the Enchey Monastery etc..
Day 14 : Gangtok to Bhadrapur drive – Duration: 3-4 hrs and fly back to Kathmandu 45 minutes
Day 15 : Sightseeing in Kathmandu Durbar Squar world heritage sites by UNESCO, Swayambhunath Monkey Temple and Bhaktapur Darbar Squar etc..
Day 16 : Transfer to airport, departure to your own destination
