The Gosaikunda Lake: It is believed that the lake was formed from the trident of Lord Shiva thrown on the rocks. According to myth, during the meaning of immortal potion from sea poisonous stuff came out. Poison was about to destroy the whole of mankind and the world. Therefore, Lord Shiva immediately swallowed all the poison and stuck it in his neck. The pain was so much that he couldn’t withstand it and threw a trident on the rocks. Eventually, Lake Gosainkunda was formed. “Trishul” means trident and weapon of Lord Shiva. The river was famous for rafting activities Trishuli originated from this lake. Therefore, the lake has high significance. It is not only for religious prospects that people visit this place, but rather nature’s splendors are also equally captivating.

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu, Tribhuvan International Airport, transfer to hotel by our representative.
Day 02: Drive to Dhunche (2030meter), 7 hours.
Day 03: Trek to Sing Gompa (Chandanbari) (3250meter), 5/30 hours.
Day 04: Trek to Gosaikunda (4380meter), 6.30 hours.
Day 05: Trek to Chandanbari (3250meter), 4 hours.
Day 06: Trek to Dhunche (1,764 m)- 4/30 hours.
Day 07: Drive back to Kathmandu, 7 hours
Day 08: Transfer to airport, departure to your own destination

About Nepal Visa:
All foreign nationals except Indian Nationals are required to arrange a visa in order to enter Nepal. A Nepalese Visa can be obtained either prior to your arrival at a Nepalese embassy abroad or on arrival time in Kathmandu at the airport. But nationals from Afghanistan, Iraq, Cameroon, Ghana, Somalia, Swaziland, Palestine, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Ethiopia, and Liberia cannot secure the Nepalese Visa upon arrival. The Visa can be also taken at entry points at Nepalese borders. For Nepalese Visa, it requires your passport with at least six months validity, a recent digital photo (size: 1.5″ x 1.5″), and the following fees either in USD dollars cash or the equivalent local currency.

In Gosaikunda Trekking there are available room lounge lodges along the trail. Lodges typically offer a room with a wooden bed with a simple mattress or foam pad, a cotton pillow, and a blanket or quilt. All have electric lights with spacious dining room-lounges. We will accommodate you and your group in the local lodge available each day. We send a porter ahead of us to book the required rooms for you (here rooms cannot be booked in advance).
In the case of Kathmandu, we offer you a tourist standard hotel under 3-star categories unless it is mentioned otherwise or clients have a special choice. You will get different options for accommodations ranging from basic to standard. Different other facilities such as hot showers, Wi-Fi, charging facilities, you may find the western toilet or the Asian ‘squat’ type toilets. etc.

Food & Drinks:
In Gosaikunda Trekking it’s commonly available for Authentic Nepali meals: Dal Bhat (rice with lentil soup and seasonal vegetables) eggs, French fries, porridge, Granola, Cornflakes, and muesli.
Besides the national dish, one can find various options such as noodles, spaghetti, dumplings, soups, salad, pizza, pasta, fries, and many more. Along with that, roti’s and varieties of curries are available for lunch. Overall, most Nepalese cuisines are potato dishes, noodle dishes, soup dishes, rice dishes, bread dishes, Dhal Bhat meals, and egg/porridge dishes.
Tea and hot lemon are traditionally the main drinks on the trail though coffee is found everywhere. Bottled soft drinks, bottled water, and even beer are common along the route but the price of each bottle rises each day when you move upward.
Climate & Weather of Nepal:
Climatic conditions of Nepal vary from one place to another in accordance with geographical features. In the northern summers are cool and winters severe, while in the south, summers are tropical and winters are mild. Nepal has five major seasons: spring, summer, monsoon, autumn, and winter.
Traveling in and through Nepal is not subject to seasonal constraints. Even in December and January, when winter is at its worst, bright sun and beautiful views compensate for the cold. Like most trekking fields in Nepal, spring and autumn are the best time to visit.
