The climbing journey starts from Kathmandu and reaches Nayapul through the ‘City of Lakes, Pokhara’. The trek begins as we head towards Punhill to witness the beautiful sunrise over the highest mountains of the Annapurna region. We will climb the Hiunchuli peak from the northwest face. Hiuchuli climb is challenging and technical and we need to have mountaineering skills. The trail often climbs over ice cliffs, glaciers, and steep slopes that require an excellent level of fitness and prior climbing experience.

Trip Itinerary

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Nepal. Exit the arrival hall after completing the visa formalities. Your tour leader will wait for you outside the arrival hall and take you to your hotel in Kathmandu. And welcome drinks will be served at the hotel and after you refresh, your trek/climb leader will brief you about your trip at your hotel lobby in the evening.

After your first night in Kathmandu, you will be well informed about gear preparation time. In the evening, you will be briefed by your trek and climbing leader about your next day’s trekking program. If you lack any trek and climbing equipment that you may need, this time can be used to arrange for it.

In the morning, after our breakfast, we will proceed to the domestic airport and take a scenic flight to Pokhara. Pokhara is a famous tourist destination with beautiful lakes, caves, and beautiful views of the Annapurna range, Fistel Himal (6997m), and the Dhaulagiri range. After reaching Pokhara, we will go to Nayapul. It takes about two hours to reach Nayapul from Pokhara. We will start the trek to Ulleri from Nayapul. We will cross the Modi River and walk along the Burundi River. We will gradually ascend through farmlands and pass several traditional villages to reach the hill. Our walk continues. After taking a break for some time, while continuing our journey, the road goes up to the farm and a little uphill, we cross the suspension bridge after going down a little. From there we will climb the stone stairs for 1 hour and we will reach Ulleri

After breakfast, we will slowly ascend to Banathatti via the Ghorepani route. The climb is about 3 hours. Then we slowly make our way forward, listening to the chirping of birds through the thick rhododendron and oak forest on the trail, until we reach Lower Ghorepani Market. And from there, after about 20 minutes, we spent the night at a lodge in Ghorepani.

We will climb Pun Hill of Ghorepani early in the morning, from Pun Hill one can have a really beautiful view of morning sunrise on mountains like Dhaulagiri Himal (8167m), Tukuche Peak (6920m), Nilgiris (6940m), Annapurna First (8091m). , Annapurna South (7219 m), Annapurna III (7555 m), Machhapuchhre (6997 m), Annapurna IV (7525 m), Annapurna II (7937 m), Lamjung Himal (6983 m) etc. After capturing the mesmerizing views of the sunrise, we will again leave the hill and make our way back to Ghandruk. After breakfast, we will descend to Banthanti through a quiet and dense forest of pine and rhododendron and proceed through the trail to Tadapani. Overnight at Tadapani Lodge.

Today we descend slowly from Tadapani through dense forest to Ghandruk and then the road gradually reaches Ghandrukkot. From here the path to the suspension bridge over the Kimrung River is steep. The trek leads up to Chomrong which is the gateway to the Annapurna Sanctuary trek. The main inhabitants of Chomrong are Gurung who are the main ethnic group of Nepal. Overnight at the lodge in Chomrong.

It is about 5/6 hours walk from Chomrong to reach Dobhan. In the beginning, the trail descends steeply to a local small bridge. After crossing the bridge, the trail gradually reaches the small settlement of Sinuwa. The trail continues along the bamboo stage cultivation landscape. We follow the path of the Modi river to reach Dobhan. Then overnight at a lodge in Dovan.

Today we head towards the trail leading from Dobhan to Machhapuchhre base camp. Leaving Dobhan we climb slowly through the Himalayas to Pujinim Barahi temple. Then we reach the Hinku cave where the trail falls along the Modi river. Moving forward, we reach Deurali and reach Machhapuchhre base camp.

About two hours walk to reach Annapurna base camp. Hichuli Himal (6441 m), Annapurna South (7229 m), Annapurna I (8091 m), Annapurna III (7555 m), Gangapurna (7454 m) and Machhapuchhre are climbed along the rocky ridgeline route to Annapurna Base Camp. Fish Tail (6997 m) and many other peaks.

Today we will climb the rocky glacier route to the mostly snowy base camp. The trail is mostly surrounded by views of high peaks and will take around five hours to reach the base camp. Beautiful views of major mountains like Annapurna 1 (8091 m), Fishtail (6997 m), Tent Peak (5695 m) can be seen. Overnight in Tented Camp at Base Camp.

Today the steep path leads directly to High Camp. The scenery of the high mountains is almost the same and we can practice using the equipment. We will learn and practice the basics of mountaineering with our trek and climbing guide. We can also explore the areas near the camp to acclimatize ourselves to the climate. Overnight at Tented Camp at High Camp.

Today we will climb along icy rocky trails up to Snowy Chuli. We will make full use of our equipment under the proper guidance of our guide to reach the peak of Hiunchuli. On the climb to the Hiuchuli Peak we will be bound to admire the beautiful view of the Annapurna and Nilgiri mountain ranges as well as many other peaks. We will take some time to enjoy the scenic views and capture them on our cameras. Then we slowly descend to Deurali. Spent the night at Deurali's lodge.

An extra day is scheduled for any delays. Climbing a peak involves multiple factors such as weather and health condition, etc which can cause a delay or interruption to our itinerary. In such a case, our schedule might get affected. This contingency day will help us to make sure that our schedule will go on smoothly without interruption.

We will descend through the dense forest down to Dovan. Trekking continues from Dobhan along the banks of the river and stream. We will cross several rivers and descend steeply through oak and rhododendron forests to reach bamboo. From here the landing road leads to Sinuwa.

Today after breakfast we will descend to the suspension bridge of the Chomrong river and climb 2200 stone steps to reach Chomrong village. Beautiful views of Annapurna South (7219m) and Machhapuchhre Himal (6997m) can be seen on our way. From Chomrong village, we will descend to Taulungdanda and cross the suspension bridge over the Kimrong river. From here the road goes through rhododendron forest to Ghandruk village.

We descend to Nayapul from Ghandruk village. We reach Nayapul through Kimche and Syauli markets. As you reach the destination, the settlements become denser. After reaching Nayapul we will return to Pokhara which will take about two hours. After reaching Pokhara, we will transfer you to the hotel. Overnight at standard hotel in Pokhara.

Today we will return to Kathmandu. Kathmandu is 200 km away from Pokhara. Prithvi Highway connects Pokhara with Kathmandu. It takes 6 hours to reach Kathmandu by bus from Pokhara. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the hotel where you will have a pleasant stay.

Enjoy a free day. You are on your own. Participating in a day tour in Kathmandu can also be a fun plan. You can also go shopping in the tourist center of Thamel where you can buy souvenir items like handicrafts and art for your family. During the event, we will also taste a farewell dinner to celebrate our successful climb. While enjoying our dinner, we will also be entertained by a charming cultural dance performed by local bells.
