Climb Island Peak with an acclimatization trek to Everest base camp and Kalapathar
Island Peak is the second most sought-after climbing peak in the Everest region after the mighty Mount Everest. Located on the Chhukung Glacier between the Lhotse and Amadablam mountains, this peak descends from the southern side of the Lhotse ridge like a wing of rock, giving it the appearance of an island floating in a sea of snow. Hence, this Imja Tse got the name of its island peak.
The peak was first attempted in 1953 as a training center for climbing Everest. To this day, this peak is chosen for practice before climbing big mountains. Climbing Island Peak does not involve technical skills but requires physical strength.
The Island peak route extends through the glaciers of Imja and Lhotse to Everest National Park and Sherpa villages. Learn about the time-forgotten culture, traditions and religion of the Sherpa tribe. Spring and fall are the two best seasons to climb Island Peak.
Therefore: Our Island Peak Climbing Itinerary follows a carefully planned approach with an acclimatization trek to Everest Base Camp and Kalapathar. Instead of directly attempting the Island peak, we will finally reach the Island Peak Base Camp with a plan to climb Everest Base Camp (5,364m), Kalapathar (5,545m). Combing Island Peak Climb success ratio with Everest base camp trek for acclimatization will be greatly increased and we have allowed enough time for the climb and also scheduled a contingency day in our itinerary to maximize the summit potential. Your safety is our prime concern and we not only include enough free days in the itinerary to accommodate flexibility but all our climbing guides are well trained and certified. Island Peak with Everest Base Camp Trek offers adventure enthusiasts a great opportunity to experience both high-altitude trekking and summit climbing in the Himalayas.

INFO RELATED TO THIS TRIP
Island peak climb are considered difficult to climb due to long duration trekking/climbing in remote and isolated areas going above 6000 meters and sleeping at altitude of 5000 meters for several days. Mountaineers require excellent physical condition. On the day of the summit, you will leave the base camp at 2 am and return to the base camp only in the afternoon. This grade includes the use of climbing equipment (harness, ice axe, crampons, mountaineering boots, climber). Previous experience is essential and we also provide a climbing course at base camp before the actual climb where your climbing guide will teach you the proper way to use the equipment.
The best time for Island Peak Climbing are Autumn (from October to November) and Spring (from April to May). Temperatures will drop considerably as you ascend higher every day. The nights are cold (between 5C to -5C) and the days are sunny and hot (between 10C to 20C). Mornings are usually clear, with clouds building up in the afternoon and disappearing at night. Trekking and climbing during the monsoon seasons and winters are not recommended as the high passes could be covered with snow.
Therefore: April, May, October and November are the favoured months. If you have any plan, Please contact us
