Mount Kailash and Manasarovar Yatra, basically significant for spiritual journey, invites thousands of Hindus every year. Situated in the China’s Autonomous Region of Tibet, Kailash Parvat and Manasarovar Lake are the epitome of natural beauty as well. That’s why, people who have nothing to do with Hinduism also swarm into the area every year.

According to a myth, a person who once crosses over the Kailash circuit will wash up all his/her sins. And circling Mt. Kailash for 108 times means earns one Nirvana (salvation). According to the description of the Ramayana, a very popular Hindu epic, one who takes bath in Mansarovar Lake makes his/her way to Bramalok (heaven). And the one who drinks water from Kailash knows about the Shivalok (lord Shiva’s abode).

Apart from the mythical background, Mount Kailash has its own speciality. A great mass of black rock at an elevation of 6,714m, Mount Kailash is supposedly one of the most fascinating sites in the world to visit. The incredibly sacred site of both Hindus and Buddhists and a must visit site for the tourists, Mount Kailash is also the setting of two great Hindu epics the Ramayana and the Mahabharata.

We start our early morning journey towards the Nepal and China border, driving along the Trisuli river on the Pasang Lhamu highway, on a semi-rough and dirt road. We reach the border town after approx 8-9 hrs drive or lesser, depending on the road conditions. We arrive at Timure town, Rasuwagadri for Nepal immigration formalities. Then crossing the bridge towards the China side, this is point where you will meet your Tibetan guide who will escort you to complete the Chinese immigration formalities, After immigration formalities, you drive all the way to Kyirong town, excitingly starting your journey to the adventure.
