Trip Highlights

  • A remote and beautiful area in the Eastern Himalayan region

The Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek is an exciting adventure at the foothills of the world’s third-highest Kanchenjunga Mountain (8586 m) that takes us to a serene desert with breathtaking mountain views. The Kanchenjunga North and South Base Camp Trekking Route proceeds through rugged terrain through colorful rhododendron and pine forests where the locals will warmly welcome us. Explore the rich culture in local villages and conquer high passes for close-up views of peaks and mountains.

Located between Nepal and Sikkim, Kanchenjunga is one of the least frequented roads where life is untouched by modernity. Also known as the Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek, it offers the best natural and cultural endeavors of Eastern Nepal. Therfore; AlpineTrav Treks & Expeditions offers a 25-day itinerary where you visit both Kanchenjunga South Base Camp in Ramche and Kanchenjunga North Base Camp in Pang Pema. Kanchenjunga North and South Base Camp at Pangpe at an altitude of 5143 meters is the highest point of the trek. The Kanchenjunga trek is a challenging grade trek that demands extra energy and determination. Hiking can be challenging at times. We pass through sub-tropical plains with little or no habitation at the foot of the mountains. The height difference is significant.

Therefore: This is one of the very few treks that takes us to the same mountain base camp in one package. It’s not just a regular walk. So, if you are looking for something different in terms of trekking experience, go for it. These are all the best sights to see and admire as there. Conquer the high passes of Miring La (4210m), Tamo La (4500m) and Sinian La (4500m) and enjoy panoramic views of Kabru Peak, Everest, Makalu and Kumbhakarna.
