This is a less jam-packed trek in the eastern part of Nepal bordering Sikkim, India. The scenery during the Kanchenjunga trek is breathtaking with incredible glaciers, sparkling mountain views, ancient monasteries, people, and their traditions and culture.

Located in remote eastern Nepal, the Kanchenjunga trek is one of the most extraordinary and fascinating camping treks in Nepal. Kanchenjunga is a short trek between three countries – the north-eastern part of Nepal, connected to Sikkim in the east. and Tibet, China to the north. It is the third highest peak in the world and the second highest mountain in Nepal. Kanchenjunga was first attempted by British climbers Joe Brown and George Band on May 25, 1955.

Kanchenjunga trek from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur flight and then from Bhadrapur to Khamdime starts after 10 hours drive. Kanchenjunga trek starts from Khamdime market and goes through dense rhododendron forest to Kanchenjunga South Base Camp (4850m). Kanchenjunga Short Trek Cost

The government charges $10 per person valid for the entire week and $25 for conservation area fees. A government-registered guide or official is mandatory, and the minimum number of trekkers must be two. You cannot go on a tour alone, and you must travel through a government-registered travel agency. The cost depends on the duration of the trip, accommodation, and the transportation you plan to use during the trip.

Day 06: Trek from Khebang to Yamphuding (2080m) 7-8 hrs.
Day 07: Trek to Torongten (2980m) from Yamphuding 4-5 hrs.
Day 08: Trek to Ramche (4610m) from Torongten 4-5 hrs.
Day 09: Trek to Kanchenjunga South Base Camp (4850m), back to Ramche (3 hours + 2 hrs.
Day 10: Trek from Ramche to Torongten (2980m) 4-5 hrs.
Day 11: Trek to Yamphuding (2080m) from Torongten 7-8 hrs.
Day 12: Trek to Khebang (1910m) from Yamphuding 5-6 hrs.
Day 13: Trek from Khebang to Khamdime (1500m) 4 hrs.
Day 14: Drive from Khamdime to Bhadrapur 9-10 hrs. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 15: Flight from Bhadrapur to Kathmandu. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 16: Rest and Free Day In Kathmandu.
Day 17: Drop at the airport for final departure.

Cost Exclusion

  • Kathmandu is the capital city of Nepal, since this city's offers high quality and delicious food from different countries and groups, we were hoping you could taste the meals you like. For that reason, during your stay in Kathmandu and Pokhara, you will have to arrange lunch and dinner (except the farewell dinner).
  • Suppose you want to take any packed food, snacks, drinks, energy drinks, mineral water, and carbonated soft drinks, any types of alcohol, cigarettes, chocolates, and nutria-bars during the trek. In that case, you have to buy it yourself.
  • Expenses incurred towards usage of Items of personal trekking equipment, laundry expenses, tips, Landlines, mobiles, satellite phones, and the internet service exclude in the package.
  • Trekking is an adventurous activity that always takes place in remote areas. So, safety is the primary factor for us. Therefore, you have to have your travel insurance covering the cost of emergency rescue, medical treatment, medical tests, and hospitalization before you arrive for the trip to Nepal.
  • The package cost offered above does not include your international flight ticket and Nepal's tourist visa, so that you have to pay for your international flight ticket and tourist visa yourself.
