Kang Yatse Peak

Your arrival point is at Kushok Bakula Rimpochi Airport in Leh, India. Upon arrival at Leh Airport, outside the arrival hall, look for the placard with your name on it. And meet our team member, then our team member will transfer to your booking hotel for check in. The rest of the day for acclimatization.

In Leh, you will stay at Omasila Hotel, a famous hotel in Leh where the hotel also boast of beautiful gardens where you can relax and enjoy the greenery. Also breakfast will be provided at Omasila Hotel and your accommodation will be on twin sharing basis.

Your accommodation during the trekking period will be tented camping. A tent will be provided for every 2 travellers with a foam mattress. There will also be a kitchen tent, dining tent, toilet tent, table, chairs and more for your comfort. If in case of a single by default, we will arrange a single tent for you at no additional cost.

We will provide three meals a day (Fresh breakfast, packed Lunch and fresh dinner) during the trek. Since this is a full camping trek, our kitchen crew will serve freshly prepared meals during the trek. We consider hearty and delicious meals as a key component to the overall success of our trip. You can and are encouraged to bring along comfort food which you enjoy eating – chocolates, power bars, dry fruits, candies, other snacks etc.

We provide boiled water for drinking purpose on all our Camping trek. During mealtime, you can ask the staffs to fill the hot water for you. We strongly discourage the use of single-use plastic bottles such as mineral water on all our trips. Carrying a hot water bottle is highly recommended.

Daily wake up calls will be between 6.00 am to 7.00 am while on the trek. The wake-up time and breakfast time will be decided a night before during the briefing time. The time table for each day will entirely depend on your walking duration for that particular day.

Before breakfast, you are required to pack your duffel bag as it will be loaded by the mules while you are having your breakfast. After 3-4 hours of walk, we stop for packed lunch mid-day. The afternoon’s walk is generally shorter and we usually arrive at our destination in time for afternoon tea.

The best seasons for Kang Yatse Peak Climbing are (July to Mid September). In this Kang Yatse Peak Climbing trail, steep climb, and descents. Therefore; Winter seasons are not recommended for Kang Yatse Peak Climbing. July to August and mid-September are the favoured months. If you have any plan, Please contact us

Kang Yatse Peak Climbing is situated above 6000 meters in a remote and secluded area and is considered difficult to climb as it has to stay sleep 2/3 night at an altitude of 5000 meters. That’s why climbers need excellent physical condition. On the day of the summit, you will leave the base camp at 2 am and return to the base camp only in the afternoon. This grade includes the use of climbing equipment (harness, ice axe, crampons, mountaineering boots, climber). Previous experience is required and we also offer a climbing course at base camp before the actual climb where your climbing guide will teach you the proper way to use the equipment.

Previous experience of high altitude treks is of great advantage while climbing a 6250 meters peak. While the previous experience of climb is a requirement, our carefully planned itinerary allows people without previous experience to join as well. Proper rest and acclimatization days with at Kang Yatse Base Camp have been kept in the itinerary. You should also be both mentally and physically prepared for this trip. A fierce determination, burning desire and teamwork is required. We have allowed ample time for acclimatization and contingency day on our itinerary and there will also be a climbing course at the base camp where your guide will teach you the proper way to use the equipment.
