Our Kathmandu and Pokhara tour begins with an exploration of the medieval city of Kathmandu followed by a spectacular journey to the lake city of Pokhara. On our 7-day tour, we enjoy cultural wonders and discover ancient Hindu and Buddhist ruins in the Kathmandu Valley, visiting several UNESCO World Heritage Sites scattered around the city. Next, we visit the small town of Nagarkot, known for its outstanding views of the Himalayas. In Pokhara, we visit the famous Davis Fall, Shiva Cave, Phewa Lake and many other natural and cultural wonders. Here we also get to experience the magic of the Himalayas with the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges visible nearby.

Day 01 :

Arrival in Kathmandu Airport and transfer to the hotel

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal. After completing visa formalities and collecting your luggage at the airport, please exit the arrivals hall. Your tour guide will be waiting for you outside the arrivals hall and will take you to your hotel in Kathmandu. You will then have free time to explore the hotel and familiarize yourself with the surroundings.

Day 02 :

Sightseeing at Kathmandu UNESCO World Heritage Sites

After breakfast, you begin your sightseeing tour of Kathmandu by visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Kathmandu Durbar Square showcases Nepali art and architecture at its finest. The architecture is typical of the Malla Dynasty that ruled Nepal from the 12th to the 18th centuries. The Swyambunath Temple is popular among foreigners as the Monkey Temple due to the large number of monkeys that inhabit the area. Pashupatinath Temple is located on the banks of the Bagmati River and is one of the major temples of Lord Shiva. Boudhnath Stupa is one of the largest stupas in South Asia, built on the ancient trade route to Tibet.

Day 03 :

Sightseeing in Patan and Bhaktapur and Sunset views from Nagarkot

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Patan Durbar Square is rich in ancient art and architecture. You also visit Bhaktapur, an unrivaled city with an authentic local lifestyle preserved for centuries, isolated from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. While in the city square, you can admire the Nyata-Pola Temple, the Golden Gate, the water fountains and the 55-windowed Durbar which together provide visitors with a magical outdoor theatre atmosphere. You also immerse yourself in the authentic delicacies of the locals of Bhaktapur. You then proceed to Nagarkot, a village famous for its Himalayan sunrise and sunset views, and enjoy spectacular sunset views amidst the Himalayas. Spend the night in Nagarkot.

Day 04 :

Sunrise view from Nagarkot then drive to Pokhara

Early in the morning, you will witness the sunrise over the mighty Himalayas. Then, you will have breakfast and depart for Pokhara, also known as the city of lakes due to its many lakes. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you can enjoy the magnificent views of the Himalayas including Dhaulagiri (8,167m/26,794ft), Manaslu (8,156m/26,759ft), Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) (6,993m/22,943ft), the five peaks of Annapurna and others. You can then check-in to your hotel and relax. You can also stroll through the streets of Pokhara and enjoy being in one of the most beautiful cities in Nepal. Spend the night in Pokhara.

Day 05 :

Full Day sightseeing in Pokhara

Early in the morning you depart for Sarangkot, a hill station overlooking the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges to the north and Pokhara city to the south. From here, you will get amazing views of the sunrise over the mighty Himalayas. Then you will return to Pokhara and visit the landmarks of the city. Davis Fall is a unique waterfall that flows directly into a narrow and deep channel with no end in sight. Shiva Cave is located near Davis Fall and houses a temple dedicated to the primary Hindu deity Lord Shiva. You also take a few boat rides on the Phewa Lake, Pokhara’s largest lake, and visit the Barahi Temple located in the center of the lake. You visit the famous International Mountain Museum (IMM) which records, documents and presents the history of the past and present development of mountaineering activities in the world and especially in the Himalayas. You also visit the Tibetan refugee camp and witness how the refugees keep themselves busy by producing and trading woolen carpets and other handicraft items. Spend the night in Pokhara.

Day 06 :

Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu

After breakfast, you bid farewell to the beautiful northern skyline of Pokhara and drive towards Kathmandu. This will be a riverside journey with amazing views of the mountains and rural Nepali lifestyle. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you will relax or do some souvenir shopping. To celebrate the successful conclusion of your journey, you will have a farewell dinner in the evening. You will spend the night in Kathmandu.
