Kongma-Tse Mehra Peak (5,820m) Climbing is one of the technical peaks in Khumbu Region. It is opposite to a famous peak named Lobuche. Many Mountains like Nuptse, Lhotse and visible from the top of Kongma Tse are its additional attractions. Rhododendron flowers, beautiful waterfalls, suspension bridges, Sherpa settlemnt , mani stones , prayer flags , mountain Views, revitalizing walk and many more is there to be enjoyed when it comes to Kongma Tse. Formerly called Mehra Peak or simply Mehra, this attractive mountain rises to the north of the Kongma La above the Khumbu glacier opposite Lobuche, and is one of several small summits, including Pokalde, that make up the long South-West Ridge of Nuptse, between the Khumbu and Nuptse Glaciers. Seen from Gorak Sheep, the summit has a diamond shaped hanging glacier above a steeply inclined rock wall that makes up the mountain’s North Face, which is in turn slashed by a diagonal ice ramp leading to the lower edge of the glacier. From the south the mountain is much more approachable. Seen from the lakes east of the Kongma La, a small, stepped glacier descends from the summit between long, rocky arms that make up the mountain’s South and South-East Ridges. South of Kongma Tse offers better and easier route to the summit of the mountain. After the success of summit, we continue our trek to Everest Base Camp. Exploring and experiencing the climbing and trek, we return back to Kathmandu via Lukla.
