Khumbu 3 Peaks Climb

Khumbu three peaks are considered difficult to climb due to long duration trekking/climbing in remote and isolated areas going above 6000 meters and sleeping at altitude of 5000 meters for several days. Mountaineers require excellent physical condition. On the day of the summit, you will leave the base camp at 2 am and return to the base camp only in the afternoon. This grade includes the use of climbing equipment (harness, ice axe, crampons, mountaineering boots, climber). Previous experience is essential and we also provide a climbing course at base camp before the actual climb where your climbing guide will teach you the proper way to use the equipment.

To partake in Everest region Khumbu three peaks climb, an excellent physical level is required as this trip involves a longer duration of trek/climb. Previous experience of high altitude treks and climbing smaller peaks is of great advantage while climbing a 6000m peak. While the previous experience of Trekking and Climbing is a requirement, our carefully planned itinerary allows people without previous experience to join as well. For this trip. A fierce determination, burning desire and teamwork is required. You will have a takes ample time for acclimatization and contingency day on our itinerary and there will also be a climbing course at the base camp where your guide will teach you the proper way to use the equipment.

The best seasons for Khumbu Three Peak Climbing are Autumn (from October to November) and Spring (from April to May). Temperatures will drop considerably as you ascend higher every day. The nights are cold (between 5C to -5C) and the days are sunny and hot (between 10C to 20C). Mornings are usually clear, with clouds building up in the afternoon and disappearing at night. Trekking and climbing during the monsoon seasons and winters are not recommended as the high passes could be covered with snow.

In Kathmandu, you will stay at the Kathmandu Vajra Hotel near the Swayambunath Monkey Temple, a famous hotel that also boasts of a beautiful garden where you can relax and enjoy the greenery. Breakfast will be provided at the hotel and your accommodation will be on a twin sharing basis.

• There is no need for heavy logistics in accommodation for trekking in (Everest region) as there are many clean and friendly lodges along the trail. Rooms are basic, usually a bed with a pillow and blanket, and bathrooms are often shared, and most places have squat toilets. We will arrange daily accommodation for you and your group at a local lodge. Please note that some of them are very basic and require a sense of adventure.
• On The Climbing Days:
• On climbing days, your accommodation will be entirely in tented camping. A tent will be arranged between every 2 climbers. If in case of single by default, we will provide single tent also without any extra cost.

We will provide three meals a day (B, L, D) during the trek. Teahouses have a varied menu from traditional Nepali dal bhat, momos (dumplings) to pizza and apple pie. Despite the fact that teahouses serve meat, we strongly advise against eating it on the trek. Meat is often sent from lower elevations to warm for days before reaching the teahouse and can cause stomach aches or illness. Similarly, during the trek, breakfast and dinner will be served at the tea house/lodge where you stay and lunch will be served en route. Likewise for base camp it will be completely camping style during the climbing days. Our team will prepare food for us.

Yes, we provide boiled water for drinking purposes on all our treks and climbs. At meal time, you can ask the staffs to fill hot water for you. We strongly discourage the use of single-use plastic bottles such as mineral water on all our trips. Carrying a hot water bottle is highly recommended.

We request customers to ensure that the weight of the duffel bag is less than 15 kg. Baggage allowance for domestic airlines of Nepal is 15 kg total (10 kg for duffel bag and 5 kg for handpack). Therefore, we request customers to keep the duffel bag weight under 15 kg, allowing a maximum weight of 30 kg per porter due to porter weight restrictions. During the trek, customers need to carry only a day pack containing essential items like water bottle, camera, sunscreen, spare jacket, etc. This lighter load ensures a more enjoyable trekking experience. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, extra items not needed during the trek can be left at the hotel in Kathmandu.

Travel insurance is mandatory and highly recommended before embarking on any adventure travel in Nepal. We advise all our clients to obtain travel insurance as required for AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) or emergency helicopter evacuation at high altitudes where other means of transport are not available. It is advisable to carefully review the insurance and its coverages before making a final decision. Take your proof of insurance with you on holiday and leave a copy with your relative. You should ensure that your insurance provides an adequate level of protection and covers you for the activities involved.
