The Langtang Ganja La Pass trek takes you from the trail of Langtang through the snow-capped Ganja La Pass (5122 m) to the quaint trails of Helambu and allows you to be in the midst of nature.

After a 7 hour journey from Kathmandu we reach Syabrubesi and our trek starts from Syabrubesi, our trek which passes through many Tamang villages to the famous Tamang village of Langtang Valley. After a cultural exploration of Langtang Village, the trek will lead through alpine vegetation to the ancient monastery of Kyanjin Gompa. The most sacred temple in the Langtang area is Kyanjin Gompa. The trail then ascends to the majestic Ganja La Pass (5122m), the highest elevation of the trek, which is covered in snow throughout the year. Then the trek goes through the Sherpa village of Helambu to Melamchi bridge in Helambu area. However; Tamang village of Langtang, panoramic view of mountains, dense forest of red pine and pine, numerous Buddhist monasteries, local cheese factory, diverse flora and fauna are the main attractions of this trek.

Difficult?

This three (3) week longer/treks above 5000 meters in remote and secluded areas are considered challenging. Similarly, the Ganjala Pass trek is also a challenging pass, so you can expect to walk for around 5 – 7 hours on a daily basis. But this grade does not include the use of technical equipment (harness, ice axe, crampons, mountaineering boots). Previous high altitude trekking experience is required but not mandatory. You must be in excellent physical shape to participate in the Ganja La Pass trek. Our Ganja La Paz trek is a complete camping and lodge based holiday trek with our team to assist you.
