7-Day Trekking in Langtang Region Langtang Valley Trek, also known as the ‘Valley of Glaciers’, is located 80 km north of Kathmandu Valley and is located in Langtang National Park. The valley is famous for its vibrant environment, which include snow-capped mountains, glaciers, moraines, forests, mountain rivers, lush meadow, friendly locals, and a variety of flora and fauna. This 7-day trek begin with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to the hill village of Syabrubesi, the main village of Langtang region.
The 7-day Langtang Valley trail passes through forests of pine, juniper, rhododendron, bamboo, and other rare plants, with rapid mountain streams, rugged cliffs, and you will initially snow-capped peaks at the start. Similarly, the trail mostly follows the Langtang River after reaching Ghore tabela. The valley widens with majestic views of the Langtang mountain range and reaches the Langtang and Kyanjin Gompa settlements. During spring, Langtang valley trek offers colorful woodlands with rhododendrons, orchids and magnolias blooming on the surface, while the high mountains greet you with their striking white faces.
Over a period of 7 days, you will trek through the Langtang National Park. The park was established in 1976 to conserve the rare flora and fauna of the Langtang region. It is the closest national park to Kathmandu in the central Himalayan region, spread over an area of 1710 sq km.
