On the Lhasa to Kathmandu tour via Everest Base Camp, you will visit beautiful Tibetan cities and towns such as Lhasa, Gyantse, Shigatse, Shakya, Rongbuk and Kirong. One of the major highlights of this tour is reaching the base camp of the world’s highest peak, Everest, which you can complete on the 8th day of our tour.
During our Lhasa to Kathmandu tour, you will visit popular Tibetan landmarks such as the Potala, Norbuling Palaces, Tibetan Traditional Hospital, Barkhor Bazaar and Gyantse Dzong. The tour includes visits to many magnificent Tibetan monasteries including Sera, Drepung, Phalkot, Shalu, Tashilhunpo, Shakya and Rongbuk, including the popular Jokhang Temple and Khumbu Stupa. On the tour, you will also visit the 15th century Ganden Monastery and the Dreppa Caves, which are still meditation retreats for Tibetan monks.
The underground tour from Lhasa to Kathmandu via Everest Base Camp also allows you to explore the mysterious Yamdrok Tso Lake and conquer some of the highest passes like Lalung La, Karo La, Khamba La and Gyatso La.
