Lobuche Peak includes two different summits, East (6119m.) and West (6145m.)You will get a great chance to have close views of Lhotse Face, Everest, Ama Dablam and many other 6000m peaks in the Khumbu Valley. The massive Lobuche East peak stands at 6119m. The Lobuche East Peak has been first climbed by Laurence Nielson and Ang Gyaljen Sherpa in 1984.
Lobuche East Peak offers a range of existing routes. The Lobuche East peak rewards you with the views of the mighty Mt. Everest as well as you will witness several peaks of the Rongbuk region of the Tibet. The gloomy triangle of its rocky east part sets down to the moraines of Khumbu Glaciers to a pleasing skyline. Mt. Everest, Mt. Thamserku, Khumbu Glacier, Nuptse, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Makalu; different community with large number of Sherpa and splendid Himalayan landscapes can be explored.
Departure from Kathmandu, after a 35 minutes flight through the spectacular Himalayan range you will land in the historic village of Lukla. Our trek to Lobuche begins from Lukla. You will pass through several historic villages including Namche Bazzar, the famous ancient trading post between Nepal and Tibet, Tengboche; a home to a significant Buddhist monastery. A trek up to Gorak Shep at (5,110m.) is great for acclimatization, or a trek to the satellite peak of Kalapattar at (5,545m.) is another great option and has classic views of Mt. Everest. Adventure begins right after the ones, you will walk back to Lobuche and trek to the Lobuche East Base Camp which is situated at 5200m. We will allow oneday for acclimatization here again before we begin the short climbing period.
Outline Itinerary (Lobuche East Peak)
Day 01 : Arrival at Kathmandu, Tribhuvan International Airport, transfer to hotel by our representative.
Day 02 : Stay in Kathmandu for the official procedure and sightseeing, overnight at hotel.
Day 03 : Fly to Lukla (2,815 m.) 35 minutes, and start trek to Phakding, 3 hours
Day 04 : Trek to Namche Bazaar, 6 hours
Day 05 : Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar
Day 06 : Trek to Tengboche, 5 hours, hours
Day 07 : Trek to Dingboche, 4 hours
Day 08 : Rest in Dingboche for acclimatization
Day 09 : Trek to Lobuche, 4 hours
Day 10 : Trek to Lobuche Base Camp, 3 hours
Day 11 : Stay in Lobuche Base Camp for climbing preparation
Day 12 : Ascent to Lobuche High Camp, 4 hours
Day 13 : Summit Lobuche East and back to base Camp
Day 14 : Extra day to summit in case of bad weather
Day 15 : Trek to Tengboche, 5 hours
Day 16 : Trek to Namche Bazaar, 4/30 hours
Day 17 : Trek to Lukla, 6 hours
Day 18 : Fly back to Kathmandu, 35 minutes, transfers to hotel
Day 19 : Transfer to airport, departure to your own destination
