It is an arduous journey that requires stamina and energy.

Mardi Himal Trekking Being one of Nepal’s lost routes, the Mardi Himal peak climb offers climbers a relatively uncrowded trail that passes through ethnic villages and hamlets where traditional practices still persist. Trekkers also trek through untouched trans-Himalayan terrains to magnificent alpine landscapes where the topography is adorned with natural features like the Koshi River, lush green hill fields divided into terraced areas and Himalayan views tucked into deep valleys spread over pastures and pastures. meadow.

The best time to climb Mardi Himal Peak is March to May and September to November. Since climbing the peak is a very challenging adventure, good physical stamina definitely helps in the journey. Using equipment such as ropes, harnesses, and crampons along with slingers and nuts, the trek to the summit is an enormous endeavor.

Essential Information

Difficulty

Long treks up to an altitude of 5500 meters where some famous trekking base camps are located and you need to sleep at an altitude of 5000 meters for a few days. Physically demanding, involving about 6-8 hours of daily walking. No previous trekking experience is required but you must be moderately fit and adaptable to walking and high altitude conditions.

Prerequisite

To participate in the Mardi Peak climb, an excellent physical level is required as the trip involves a long trek/climb. Previous experience of high altitude trekking is not mandatory to participate in this trip. While previous trekking/climbing experience is essential, our carefully planned itineraries allow people with no previous experience to join. Proper rest and favorable days are kept in the itinerary. You should also be prepared both mentally and physically for this journey. A fierce determination, burning desire and teamwork are required. We allow enough time for acclimatization in our itinerary and there will also be a climbing course at the base camp where your guide will teach you the correct way to use the equipment.

Weather

The best seasons to climb Mardi Peak are autumn (October to late November) and spring (April to May). The temperature will drop significantly as you climb higher each day. Nights are cool (between 5C to -5C) and days are sunny and warm (between 10C to 20C). Mornings are usually clear, clouds build in the afternoon and disappear at night. Trekking and climbing is not recommended during monsoons and winters as visibility is poor and limited while higher reaches and higher passes may be covered with snow.

April, October and November are the favorite months

Insurance

It’s mandatory and highly recommended to get travel insurance before embarking on any adventurous trips in Nepal. We advise all our clients to get travel insurance that covers up emergency helicopter evacuation that may be needed in case of the occurrence of AMS (Acute Mountain Sickness) or any other reasons in high altitudes where there are no other means of transportation available. It is advisable to review carefully the insurance and its coverages before making the final decision. Carry proof of your insurance with you on the holiday and leave a copy next to your kin. You must ensure that your insurance provides an adequate level of protection and covers you for the activities involved.
