Mesokanto La trek is a window to the ever-so-splendid views of Mount Manaslu (8163m), Dhaulagiri (8167m and Annapurna (8091m) ranges. The trek kicks off the day after you arrive in Kathmandu, driving past the traditional villages of Jagat and then Dharapani. As the sub-tropical forests accompany you in a leisurely walk, you’ll reach Chame in no time. The lifestyle of the people of Manang slowly begins to unfold as prayer flags become your next guide. No sooner you will find yourself adjoining the famous Annapurna Circuit trek, except that is not where. Throughout the Mesokanto La Trek, you’ll get to fully explore Manang and the things it has to offer- ancient hymns, traditions, food, and artifacts. Slowly, the backdrop of the snowy legends Gangapurna and Annapurna begins to unravel.

About a day later, you will finally get to Tilicho, where the sky meets the earth. Truly, the sight of the lake beneath the mountains is a soothing relief to the tired eyes. After leaving the picturesque Tilicho behind, you will continue to follow the trail up to Mesokanto La pass. Similarly, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the city of Jomsom. Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Kathmandu (1,350m) and transfer to Hotel
Day 2: Drive to Jagat (1,290m) from Kathmandu via Bensisahar, 7-8 hours.
Day 3: Trek to Dharapani (1,860m) from Jagat 5-6 hours.
Day 4: Trek to Chame (2,715m) from Dharapani 6-7 hours.
Day 5: Trek to Pisang (3,185m) from Chame 5-6 hours.
Day 6: Trek to Manang (3,350m) from Pisang via Gyaru and Nawal, 6-7 hours.
Day 7: Rest and acclimatization day, 3-4 hours.
Day 8: Trek to Sri Kharka (4050m) from Manang 5-6 hours.
Day 9: Trek to Tilicho Base Camp (4150m), from Sri Kharka 3-4 hours.
Day 10: Trek to Tilicho Lake (4919m), from Tilicho Base Camp 4-5 hours.
Day 11: Trek to Kaisang (3510m) from Tilicho lake via Mesokanto La Pass (5,340m), 7-8 hours.
Day 12: Trek to Jomsom (2720m) from Kaisang 4-5 hours.
Day 13: Fly to Pokhara (827m) from Jomsom
Day 14: Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu by tourist bus 6-7 hours.
Day 15: Drop at the airport for the final departure.
