Enjoy a quaint and serene Himalayan trek nestled in the lap of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri peaks. Mohre Danda Trek for Families The remote trails offer old-fashioned settlements, rich cultural attractions, and a peaceful atmosphere for families with children. A relatively new trek compared to other treks around Annapurna, the family-friendly Mohre Danda trek is done by a handful of tourists. Hence, making it the perfect destination for those seeking solitude.

Mohre Danda Trek After reaching Kathmandu, it will go from Kathmandu to Pokhara and then to Galeshwar village. From the Magar villages of Banskhark, Nangi and Mohre Danda (3320 m), you will slowly walk through the forest path. From here one can enjoy a panoramic view of the mountains including Annapurna Dakshin (7219 m), Dhaulagiri (8167 m), Nilgiri (7061 m) and Hiuchuli (6441 m). Accommodation will be arranged along the trail with homestay facilities within the community village. Then we return to the road to Pokhara through Khiwang, Tilkot, Tiplyang villages.

Mohre Danda Trek is suitable for all types of trekkers including adults traveling with children. Beautiful, quiet and easy trails make for great family time together. March to May and September to November are the best times to visit Mohre Danda. If you can beat the cold, you can trek in Mohre Danda even in winter.

Trip Itinerary

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Nepal. After completing the visa formalities and collecting your luggage at the airport, please exit the arrival hall. You will be waited for outside the arrivals hall and taken to your booking hotel. Please see the placard with your name on it when exiting the arrival hall. And upon arrival at the hotel will be served welcome drinks and after you freshen up, will inform you about your trip.

After an early breakfast at the hotel, you will transfer to the airport and board a scenic flight to the tourist city of Pokhara. It takes 25 minutes to reach Pokhara, which is about 200 km west of Kathmandu. After reaching Pokhara, you will reach Galeshwar village towards the northwest. It takes three and a half hours to reach Galeshwar on the banks of Kaligandaki river. After a short lunch, you will begin the trek and hike for three hours on the way to Banskhark. Overnight home-stay at Banskhark.

The trek ascends gently through lush green forest paths passing through Banskhark. The day begins with a hearty meal at your homestay and heads north to Nangi. The 5-6 hour trek passes through Banskhark and passes through small, picturesque villages offering stunning views of the nearby mountains and impressive landscapes. You can also check out the Organic Farm School located in Magar Village. Overnight at the eco-community lodge in Nangi.

The trek leads to the beautiful peak of Mohre Hill. Leaving Nangi, the trail passes through beautiful oak and rhododendron forests with panoramic views of Machhapuchhre (6997 m), Annapurna South (7219 m), Tukuche (6920 m) and Nilgiri (7061 m). Mohre is a small hill station that offers a panoramic view of the surroundings. In the afternoon, you can enjoy a magnificent sunset view from Mohre before relaxing at the eco-community lodge at Mohre Hill. Overnight at Eco-Community Lodge at Mohre Danda.

After enjoying the beautiful view of the sunrise at Mohre Danda, you will proceed to the nearby village of Khibang. Khibang is a small eco-community known for its community forest and homestays. A 5-6 hour trek takes you through oak and rhododendron forests to Khibang. You can choose to visit community forests and organic farms en route. Overnight at Khibang Homestay.

Leaving Khibang behind, you will make your way back down. Today you will visit Tikot village, a small Magar settlement. A short walk will fill you with a pleasant time in the midst of nature. You will enjoy your lunch and dinner with an overnight stay in one of the community lodges. Located at 2210 meters, Tikot is the most beautiful Magar village in Nepal. Stay at home at night in Tikot.

After leaving Tilkot you will reach Tiplyang village. Tiplyang is the last village on the way to Pokhara. A small village located southwest of the Annapurna massif and the banks of the Kaligandaki River, this village is rarely visited by tourists. After reaching Tiplang, you will catch a jeep back to Pokhara.

After breakfast, you can head out to explore Pokhara. You will take an early morning trek to the World Peace Stupa located on a hill beside Phewa Lake. A fairly moderate hike will take you to the top from where you can enjoy an aerial view of the entire Pokhara city. Upon return, you will transfer to the airport and board a short flight back to Kathmandu.
