Day 01 :

Arrival in Kathmandu

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Nepal. After completing visa formalities and collecting your luggage at the airport, please exit the arrival hall. Your tour leader will be waiting for you just outside the arrival hall and will take you to hotel in Kathmandu. Please look for a placard with your name on it at the exit of the arrival hall. Then depending on the time, you will have time to walk around the hotel and familiarize yourself near hotel.

Day 02 :

Explore the highlights of Kathmandu

Today is a full-day Kathmandu tour; in which you will explore various UNESCO sites in Kathmandu. There are a total of 10 UNESCO sites in Nepal and you will find seven UNESCO sites in the Kathmandu Valley alone within a distance of 20 km. Then we will start our tour with a visit to Pashupatinath, the holiest Hindu temple in Nepal. We will witness the Hindu cremation ceremony at Aryaghat, located on the banks of the Bagmati River. And we will visit Boudhanath, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal. We can see the rich Tibetan culture at Boudhanath. Similarly, we will end the day’s tour by visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square, the old royal residence of Nepal.

Day 03 :

Kathmandu to Pokhara overland tour

Pokhara is located 200 kilometers from Kathmandu. After about 6 hours of driving along the Prithvi Highway, you will reach Pokhara. The route is scenic as the journey continues through the countryside. Along the way, you can see the Trishuli River and the cable car that takes pilgrims to the Manakamana Temple - the Goddess of Wish Fulfillment. Pokhara is a clean and green city. In the evening, you will visit Phewa Lake. You will spend the night at a lakeside hotel in Pokhara.

Day 04 :

Pokhara to Tatopani overland tour

After breakfast, you will begin your journey to Tatopani. The 5-hour drive passes through Beni and Kusma Bazaar. You will stop for lunch in Beni. After Beni, the paved road gradually turns into a narrow, winding gravel road. After a 20-kilometer drive from Beni, you will finally reach Tatopani. You can spend the rest of the day relaxing in the natural Tatopani pool on the banks of the Kali-Gandaki River. And spend the night at a hotel in Tatopani.

Day 05 :

Tatopani to Kagbeni overland tour

After breakfast, your journey will continue along the banks of the Kali-Gandaki River to Jomsom - Kagbeni. The drive will take about 5-6 hours. As you approach Jomsom, you will see rugged mountains and hilly scenery. After reaching Jomsom, you will stop for some hot coffee, tea and from here, you can see the Dhaulagiri mountain range, Nilgiri Peak, Tilicho Peak and the surrounding scenery. It is a windy valley on the banks of the Kali Gandaki River. Then you will drive along the banks of the Kali Gandaki River to Kagbeni. It is the historical confluence of two rivers and an ancient city. Also, it is the gateway to Upper Mustang.

Day 06 :

Kagbeni to Muktinath and drive back to Jomsom

After breakfast this morning, you will drive to Muktinath via a scenic road. Upon reaching Muktinath Temple, relax for some time and visit Muktinath Temple. Take a 20-minute hike from the market to explore this magnificent place situated at an altitude of 3800 meters. You will return to the market for lunch. Then you will return to Jomsom, where you will stay overnight at a lodge.

Day 07 :

Fly back to Pokhara and Exploration

After breakfast, you will check in at the airport to return to Pokhara. This dramatic 15-minute flight from Jomsom, nestled between the gorge of the two huge mountains of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri is a nervy tingling experience we will enjoy. Upon arrival at Pokhara airport, your guide will transfer you to a lakeside hotel. And use the rest of the time to enjoy the panoramic views of the Pokhara Valley, its lakes and the surrounding mountains including Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre and Manaslu. You will start your day tour with a visit to Davis Falls. Locally known as Patle Chhago (meaning waterfall reaching the abyss), this is the point where the water of the Pardi River falls into a tunnel and disappears underground. Next, you will visit World peace pagoda which is locally known as Shanti Stupa. It is located at elevation of 1100m perched atop the Ananda Hill. Along with being located in serene surrounding, the place is also famous for its views of Annapurna Mountain and Phewa Lake. You will conclude the day tour with visit to International Mountain Museum.

Day 08 :

Pokhara to Bandipur overland tour

After breakfast, get ready for Bandipur, a historic Newari city located between Kathmandu and Pokhara. Upon reaching Bandipur, visit the attractions of Bandipur such as Tindhara, Siddha Cave, Bandipur Bazaar, Khadgadevi Temple, Bindhebasini Temple and Mahalaxmi Temple. And spend the night at a hotel in Bandipur.

Day 09 :

Bandipur to Chitwan, Sauraha overland tour

Your next destination today is Chitwan, home to the jungle. You will travel from Bandipur to Chitwan on a 3-hour drive. You will exit the East-West Highway at Narayanghat and take another 30-minute drive to reach Chitwan National Park. You will spend the night at a comfortable Chitwan Forest Resort inside the park. In the evening, you will visit a Tharu village where you can watch their traditional stick dance.

Day 10 :

Full day Jungle Safari Acitivites

This day is going to be quite exciting. There are various options available to explore the dense forests of the park. You can walk and follow the tiger trail. If you choose to walk, it is recommended that you never walk alone without a guide as many ferocious animals roam freely in this forest. Another option is to ride on the back of an elephant. Feel the adrenaline of a close encounter with a Bengal tiger and a one-horned rhinoceros from a safe height. You can also participate in a cannon firing on the Rapti River. The park is rich in flora and fauna. The park provides shelter to 43 species of mammals, 45 species of amphibians and 500 species of birds. Gangetic dolphins can be found in the Rapti River. You will also visit the elephant breeding center.

Day 11 :

Drove from Chitwan to Nagarkot

Kathmandu: Located 158 km from Chitwan. It takes 4 to 5 hours to reach Kathmandu by private vehicle. We will enter Kathmandu from Thankot Checkpost and head towards Bhaktapur city. Following the Araniko Highway for about an hour and a half, we will reach Nagarkot, the nearest hill station from Kathmandu. We will climb to the top of the View Tower. If the weather is clear, we can see panoramic views of the mountains from Annapurna in the west to Everest in the east. Nagarkot also offers a spectacular view of the Kathmandu Valley.

Day 12 :

Visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square and return to Kathmandu

We will wake up early in the morning and visit the View Tower as Nagarkot is popular for sunrise viewing. The villages of Nagarkot are mostly inhabited by Tamang people and we can witness rural life in Nagarkot. The atmosphere is eerie only with the sound of leaves rustling in the forest when the light breeze blows. We will have our breakfast and depart for the medieval Newar city of Bhaktapur where we can observe life in its primitive forms. The Bhaktapur Durbar Square is listed as a UNESCO Heritage Site. We will explore the courtyards of the ancient royal residence. Then we will back to Kathmandu.

International Departure
