Perfect Family-Friendly Trekking Trail passes through many natural wonders. You will enjoy flowing rivers, waterfalls, and oak rhododendron forests. The breathtaking views of the Himalayas will be cherished by you and your children for a lifetime. The view of Annapurna massif and Machhapuchhre (6993 m) seen on the trek will be an inspiring factor for every step you and your family take. At an altitude of 1940 meters, Ghandruk is the highest point of the trek, and is the best part of the trek. Apart from the beautiful view from this point, the cultural importance of Ghandruk village is also great. A visit to the Old Gurung Museum takes you back in time, and you can even dress up in their traditional attire. Your kids will surely look adorable in little Gurung dresses. Apart from this, the lifestyle, traditions, and daily work experiences throughout the trek can be a different but memorable experience for you and your children. Encourage your child to interact with Himalayan children. The best time to trek Perfect Family-Friendly is spring and autumn as well as winter season.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in Kathmandu Airport [1,350m/4,430ft] and transfer to hotel.
Day 2: Flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara [827m/2,714ft], and explore
Day 3: Drive from Pokhara to Phedi and trek to Dhampus [1694m/5558ft], 4-5 hours
Day 4: Trek from Dhampus to Tolka [1783m/5850ft], 5-6 hours
Day 5: Trek from Tolka to Jhinu Danda [1,760m/5,775ft], 5-6 hours
Day 6: Rest day Jhinu Danda and hike to Hotspring (Tatopani),2-3 hours
Day 7: Trek from Jhimu Danda to Ghandruk [2,012m/6,601ft], 4-5 hours
Day 8: Trek from Ghandruk to Syauli Bazaar [1170m/3,839ft] 3 hrs and drive to Pokhara 2 hrs
Day 9: Morning Hike to World Peace Stupa and afternoon fly to Kathmandu
Day 10: International departure

  • Travel insurance has to cover emergency high-altitude rescue and evacuation along with medical coverage.
