Shivapuri Hill Top (Eco-Cultural Trek)

We accommodate such trips as the Shivapuri Trek. This trek takes 3 to 5 days to complete. The Shivapuri National park is located in the northern and northwestern parts of Kathmandu. It is the second-highest hill near the Kathmandu valley at an altitude of 2563m and a paradise for bird watchers.
Shivapuri is the second highest hill in Kathmandu valley after Phulchowki hill and is one of the closest national parks to the Kathmandu valley.
Shivapuri National Park is home to a variety of wildlife like Indian leopard, clouded leopard, Himalayan black bear, wild boar, barking deer, Ghoral, and others.

Also, Dhulikhel is a hill settlement full of beautiful shrines, temples, and stupas along with picturesque mountain views. In clear weather the Himalaya range, stretching from Dhaulagiri in the west all the way past Everest to Kanchenjunga in the east emerges from the darkness to greet the happy visitor with its awe-inspiring majesty and beauty.
Our trekking starting point Shivapuri National Park offers superb views from Kakani also is one of the best nice viewpoints to view the panoramic mountains of Manaslu to Shishapangma including Ganesh Himal and Langtang. On one side of the trekking route, trekkers will see the great view of Kathmandu, and mostly you will walk on the other side of the valley where green forest, river valley, White Mountain, small villages, and agricultural fields warmly welcome you.

4. We provide boiled water for drinking purposes on all our treks. During mealtime, you can ask the staff to fill the hot water for you. We strongly discourage the use of single-use plastic bottles such as mineral water on all our trips. Carrying a hot water bottle is highly recommended.
5. Daily wake-up calls will be between 6.00 am to 7.00 am while on the trek. The wake-up time and breakfast time will be decided the night before during the briefing time. The timetable for each day will entirely depend on your walking duration for that particular day.
6. Tea will be served at your Tent or Room as a wake-up call. After a hearty breakfast, we set off on the day’s walk. Before breakfast, you are required to pack your duffel bag as it will be loaded by the porter while you are having your breakfast.

All-Inclusive for Camping Trek

Trekking is an all-inclusive trip meaning you will need cash only for your personal expenses and meals in Kathmandu.
1. During the trekking, Sleeping bag, Down jacket, and a waterproof duffel bag trekking map, all required permits for the trek, Guide, and camping staff, Cook, and kitchen staff, support staff, necessary ground transportation, etc all include.
2. For trekking, all accommodation including sleeping tent, mattress, dining tent, kitchen tent, dinner table, sitting chair, shower tent, and toilet tent is included.
3. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, dinner, tea, coffee, fresh fruits every day of Meals AlpineTrav Treks staff provide you.

Itinerary [for Shivapuri Hill Top Trek – 8 Days]

Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu airport, Transfer to hotel.
Day 02: Kathmandu – Kakani (2093m), driving 1 hour
and trek to Salle 3 hours easy walk and overnight at Salle.
Day 03: Trek to Shivapuri (2563m), walk-Duration 4 hours.
Day 04: Trek to Chauki-Bhanjyang (1800m), walk -Duration 4 hours.
Day 05: Trek to Nagarkot (1985m), walk – Duration 4 hours.
Day 06: Early in the morning, we will hike up to the view tower for a sunrise view. On a pleasant day, we can get a glimpse of the entire Himalayan range from Dhaulagiri to Everest. And we will return to the hotel, take breakfast, and trek to Dhulikhel for 5 hours.
Day 07: Today our plan is to drive to Bhaktapur Durbar Square and witness the fascinating 55 Windows Palace, Golden Gate, Siddhi Temple, and Dattatreya Temple and continue a One-hour drive to Kathmandu.
Day 08: Departure onward destination.

Food (Meals)

We will provide three meals a day (Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner), during the trek. Since this is a full camping trek, our kitchen crew will serve freshly prepared meals during the trek. We consider hearty and delicious meals as a key component to the overall success of our trip. You can and are encouraged to bring along comfort food which you enjoy eating – chocolates, power bars, dry fruits, candies, other snacks, etc.
Such as in Kathmandu, only breakfast will be provided to give you the maximum flexibility in deciding where what and with whom to eat for lunch and dinner.

About Nepal Visa

All foreign nationals except Indian Nationals are required to arrange a visa in order to enter Nepal. A Nepalese Visa can be obtained either prior to your arrival at a Nepalese embassy abroad or on arrival time in Kathmandu at the airport. But nationals from Afghanistan, Iraq, Cameroon, Ghana, Somalia, Swaziland, Palestine, Zimbabwe, Nigeria, Ethiopia, and Liberia cannot secure the Nepalese Visa upon arrival. The Visa can be also taken at entry points at Nepalese borders. For Nepalese Visa, it requires your passport with at least six months validity, a recent digital photo (size: 1.5″ x 1.5″), and the following fees either in USD dollars cash or the equivalent local currency.
