Day 1 :

Arrival in Bagdogra & Drive to Darjeeling

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at hotel in Delhi. And proceed to the airport to take a scenic flight to Bagdogra. Upon arrival in Bagdogra, you will be welcomed by a tour guide from AlpineTrav Treks and Expeditions and later you will be transferred by car to our booked hotel in Darjeeling. Lunch will be arranged on the way and upon reaching Darjeeling, check in to the hotel and relax. During your free time, you can explore the local market.

Day 2 :

Sightseeing in Darjeeling - 2045m

Our day begins before sunrise as we take a short drive to Tiger Hill for a sunrise view. This famous hill also offers a view of some of the highest mountains in the Himalayas, including Mount Kanchenjunga. After the sunrise trek, we will return to the hotel and have breakfast. After a short rest, we visit the famous landmarks and monuments of Darjeeling, including the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center, Tea Gardens, Tea Factory, and Peace Pagoda.

Day 3 :

Darjeeling - Pelling and explore - 2085m

After breakfast drive to Pelling. The drive takes you through lush tea gardens and small towns along the river Teesta and the Rangeet. Transfer to hotel/Resort. Later visit the Khechophalri Lake.

Day 4 :

Scenic Drive to Gangtok and explore - 1650m

Drive to Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim via Rabangla. On the way visit the Pemayangtse monastery and Rabdentse Palace ruins. Stop over at Rabangla for lunchs. Visit the Tibetan Refugee Centre. Continue your drive to Gangtok through the small town of Singtam on the banks of the river Teesta, then Gangtok. Transfer to hotel.

Day 5 :

Full Day Tour in Gangtok - 1650m

We start the day early by going to Tashi Viewpoint from where you can see Kanchenjunga, Sinolchu Range and distant settlements inside Sikkim. We return to the hotel for breakfast. Then our tour continues to Directorate of Handicrafts and Handicrafts or Government Cottage Industries Institute, Enche Monastery, Tibetan Science Research Institute, Rumtek Monastery and Tashi Viewpoint. If we want to change the location, we can also drive for an hour towards Martam for overnight stay.

Day 6 :

Drive to Kalimpong via Martam and explore - 1247m

After breakfast, from Gangtok we will enjoy a scenic drive towards Kalimpong. On the way, we will pass through the popular hamlets locally called Martam. We will explore this beautiful hamlet and continue our drive to Kalimpong. Upon reaching Kalimpong, you will definitely love the atmosphere of the city. Check-in at the hotel and wander around the markets and streets. Or you can spend the rest of the day relaxing.

Day 7 :

Sightseeing in Kalimpong and Transfer to Siliguri - 125m

Today our program, we will visit the famous landmarks of Kalimpong including the Shri Diwakar Vihara Institute in Kalimpong, Dello Viewpoint, and Haat Bazar (a weekly market of local products for local people). Then in the evening, After Sightseeing, we transfer to Siliguri for an overnight stay to catch up our flight onwards from Bagdogra

Day 8 :

Fly Onward your Destination via Delhi from Bagdogra

Today is the last day of the trip where a representative of AlpineTrav Treks & Expeditions will transfer you to Bagdogra Airport for your flight to Delhi. From there, you will catch a connecting flight back to your hometown/onward destination. Thus ends the Sikkim Darjeeling and Kalimpong trip.
