Sikkim Singalila North Trek passes through two national parks Singalila and Kanchenjunga National Park for an epic mountain adventure. The road crosses the famous Gochela La (5002 m). Our Sikkim Singalila North Trek lets you explore the magical land of crystal clear lakes, colorful forests, exotic animals and ancient mountain peaks for an adventure of a lifetime. The relatively newly developed Sikkim Singalila Trek starts from a quaint little village in the north and goes through the Singalila Ridge to Gochela. Despite its extraordinary beauty, the trek is still rarely visited by foreigners. In fact, most of the people who use the trail are yak herders from Sikkim. So if you enjoy peace and solitude in this desert-like region, this Sikkim Singalila North Trek is perfect for anyone….The Sikkim Singalila North Trek follows an old trade route through dense forests. Where are the highest mountains in the world? Sikkim Singalila North Trek through the high alpine grasslands of Chiwa Bhanjyang. Continue and cross two high alpine passes, each with its own distinct perspective. Reach Goechala from Dzongri. Incredible Himalayan views will welcome you and you will have a view of many mountains including Kanchenjunga (8586 m), the highest mountain in the world. Day 6 : Trek Ghairi to Dhor (3,900 meters) 5-6hrs
Day 7 : Dhor to Pare Megu (3,800 meters) 7hrs

Trip Itinerary

After your arrival, our staff will welcome you at Bagdogra Airport near Siliguri and bring you to Darjeeling. Pass Assam tea plantations and small villages on the way. Cruise above the clouds through a green landscape through hilly switchbacks Perched on top of cliffs, Darjeeling faces the Himalayas and is a popular destination for Westerners and Indians alike. Overnight at a hotel in Darjeeling.

After breakfast, Darjeeling tour begins. Darjeeling, located at an altitude of 2134 meters in North West Bengal, India, boasts of the world's best tea plantations spread over an area of ​​11.44 square kilometers. Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site is another most sought after travel destination. This railway still uses steam engines making it an interesting sight to observe. At a distance of 15 km from Darjeeling city, Tiger Hill awaits you with a panoramic view of the Himalayan range, especially the Everest and Kanchenjunga mountain ranges. You can also get a magnificent view of Darjeeling from Observatory Hill.

After breakfast depart from Darjeeling and proceed towards West Sikkim. It's a 6-hour drive, up and down delightful winding roads dotted with picturesque valleys. Fall in love with the unique scenery along the way. The car goes down to cross the raging colored river and then back to a village called Pemayangtse. Hop out, have lunch, and take in the stunning Himalayan views from the ridge. Hang out with the locals and enjoy your night. Overnight at guest house.

Today our first day covers an easy trail through a vibrant forest of rhododendrons and other wonderful trees. Spring brings vibrant colors to the path of prosperity. Today's trek makes you excited for the journey ahead. It's an unforgettable day in Sikkim Singalila Uttarey Trek and it's just the beginning! Today's final hour brings us to the border of Nepal, where we spend the night. Overnight in tented camp.

Start the trek after breakfast. Trek along the Nepalese border with panoramic mountain views throughout the day. The trail has a few ups and downs and is generally relatively easy. Overnight in tented camp.

Today you will visit an open lookout point full of vegetation, waving prayer flags. Stop for a moment, take a deep breath, and look at the snow-capped mountains in the distance. Continue your walk, passing several fields of agriculture. Camp overnight in a tent in a pleasant spot under a cliff.

Take a short walk from our campsite and wake up early to catch the amazing views. See Mount Everest and Kanchenjunga at the first light of the sun. Then, pack up camp and head towards Pare Megu. Overcoming the ups and downs of the day we reach the high point. Enjoy the fresh air, admiring the rich forests along the way as we hike today, you may spot blue sheep in the remote mountains. Overnight in tented camp.

Walk along the same, well-trodden trail for the first bit of the day with a delicious warm breakfast and packed lunch. Then, hike up until the trail opens up into a wide valley, from where we can get a magnificent view of the entire Kabru range, including the towering Pandim Peak (6691m). A further two hours of climbing takes us to our campsite, where Everest and many other famous peaks of the Khumbu region make a special appearance. Spend the rest of the day relaxing and adapting. Overnight at camp.

Today in the beauty of the Himalayas you will realize that the mountains are really high at this point, and there are still more surprises to come. Leave the sacred Lampokhari and head towards the 4500m Damfevir La (pass) Damfevir means partridge. From the top, you get a panoramic view of the entire region of Sikkim as well as Tibet and Bhutan. Descend only to climb again at Kaag Bhir Laas (meaning Crow's Pass) for another Himalayan view. and overnight in a tent camp.

After breakfast, we pack camp and walk through rich rhododendron and mixed forests. Again, we find ourselves on a barren mountaintop. Keep an eye out for rare birds in the area, including the Danfe (Impian Pheasant), which builds its nest high up near Kamse La (4200m). Descend to the meadow of Kokling. We continue trekking through the enchanting landscape until we reach Pangden (4100m).

Post-breakfast walk: Today we descend continuously to Taltira through a mixed forest of juniper and rhododendron. Ending today's trip in the early afternoon, take the rest of the day to relax and explore the surroundings. Overnight in tent camp.

Head back upstairs from the camp and start heading towards Dzongri. Climb through the greenery to the barren alpine gray and white of the Dzongri. You will be amazed at the amazing visual hits. The mountain views are truly unlike anything you'll ever see, and they just keep getting better. Savor the sights and feelings of peace and solitude in these moments. Walk around the area with a smile on your face.

On this day you get an entire day for complete acclimatization. In the morning you can excuse Dzongri La to catch a glimpse of breathtaking Mt. Rathong, Kabru range, and Goecha peak. After breakfast, you get leisure time to indulge in the activities of your choice. Like the previous night, you overnight at your camp tent.

Eat breakfast and start the walk. Often we will go uphill and downhill through beautiful landscapes. Reach a ridge at about (4,115 m) for show-stopping views of Kanchenjunga and Pandim. Admire the charm of Tibetan Buddhist chants and prayer flags - symbols of Tibetan Buddhism. Take some photos and descend towards Pandim and then pass through rhododendron forests to Prek Chu River at 3749m. Enjoying the fresh air. Admire the magnificent scenery of the Sikkim Singila North Trek. After rest, cross a river and slowly walk through pine trees for an hour and a half to a good camping spot. Overnight in tented camp.

Hike along the banks of the Prek Chu River before reaching sacred Samiti Lake, passing through brightly colored, wind-prayer flags and overnight at tent camp.

Today, we start walking early in the morning to reach Gochala pass and maximize the chance of good weather. Moreover, the views are outstanding at this time. Go up the hill behind the lake and then cross the glacial moraine. Above Lake Samiti, the area we trek through is called Jemathang Plateau. Cross the plateau under the shadow of Pandim, and look down on majestic snow and ice-laden Himalaya. Cross a well-trodden path over a pass decorated with brightly colored prayer flags. Marvel at views of the world's tallest mountain ranges and glacial valleys in the distance. and return to destination Thangsing. Overnight in tent camp.

Watch the sunrise from the ridge behind our camp. Here there are panoramic views of Kanchenjunga and behind us is Gochal Pass. Departing from our campsite, we take a new route towards the trailhead. Trek to Prekchu and take a path around the forest to reach Phedang. And reach the downhill Chokka Today is a long day. Overnight in tented camp.

You have to trek for 5-6 hours to reach up to Yuksum which is 14 km away from Tsoka. You get to have leisure time in Yuksum to indulge in activities of your choice. Eventually, after dinner, you will spend the night at your hotel.

After breakfast, you will be driven to Gangtok. On the way, you will visit the Rumtek Monastery and gain an insight into the Kagyupa sect of Buddhism. A short distance from this monastery is an ashram which is used by monks for meditation. Finally, the 6-7 hour drive ends at Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. You will be escorted to your hotel where you will spend the night after dinner.

Gangtok sightseeing starts after breakfast. Gangtok is perched on a cliff above the Ranipul River and boasts unparalleled views of Kanchenjunga and other Himalayan peaks. One can visit Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, Chortens, Anche Monastery, Orchid Garden, and many other popular sites. In the evening you can wander around the local market and later return to your hotel for dinner and a good night’s sleep.
