Pashupatinath in Kathmandu, the holiest Hindu temple in Nepal and the largest Buddhist stupa Boudhnath. Rich Tibetan culture in Boudhnath, likewise rafting is the most popular adventure sport in Nepal. Rafting is also included in this package. On the way from Kathmandu to Chitwan (a 60km drive) you will reach a rafting destination called Charaudi from where you will raft for an hour. Another destination; Paragliding can be a truly amazing and fulfilling experience for adventure seekers. A trip will show you some of the best views on earth, as you share the airspace with Himalayan griffin vultures, eagles, kites and spectacular views of the majestic Himalayas as they float over villages, monasteries, temples, lakes and forests. The main area for paragliding is the Pokhara Valley, from where there are views of 3 of the world’s 8000m high peaks with favorable and stable conditions for your paragliding holiday.

Similarly, Chitwan National Park is a very popular destination for jungle safari. You will enjoy bird watching and canoeing where you can spot rare gharials and alligator crocodiles. You will go for jungle safari. You can either take a jeep drive or an elephant ride in the jungle. During the jungle safari you can see foxes, fishing cats, jungle cats, leopard cats, large and small Indian civets, Asian palm civets and crab-eating mongooses, among many other animals. In the evening one can also enjoy the Tharu cultural program. Next morning, you will visit the elephant breeding center.

Best time for Paragliding – Fly in Nepal

The paragliding season in Nepal starts in September and ends in early June. But it’s good all year round still we can’t fly only 3-4 days in July or August. (But) the best time to visit is from mid-September to April. The weather is favorable, hence suitable for paragliding. Paragliding fly almost every day from July to September

Day 01 :

Arrival in Kathmandu Airport and transfer to hotel

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Nepal. After completing visa formalities and collecting your luggage at the airport, please exit the arrival hall. Your tour leader will be waiting for you just outside the arrival hall and will take you to hotel in Kathmandu. Please look for a placard with your name on it at the exit of the arrival hall. Then depending on the time, you will have time to walk around the hotel and familiarize yourself near hotel.

Day 02 :

Sightseeing at World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu

Today is a full-day Kathmandu tour; in which you will explore various UNESCO sites in Kathmandu. There are a total of 10 UNESCO sites in Nepal and you will find seven UNESCO sites in the Kathmandu Valley alone within a distance of 20 km. Then we will start our tour with a visit to Pashupatinath, the holiest Hindu temple in Nepal. We will witness the Hindu cremation ceremony at Aryaghat, located on the banks of the Bagmati River. And we will visit Boudhanath, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal. We can see the rich Tibetan culture at Boudhanath. Similarly, we will end the day’s tour by visiting Kathmandu Durbar Square, the old royal residence of Nepal.

Day 03 :

Drive to Pokhara on the way - rafting in the fast flown water Trishuli River

On the way between Kathmandu and Pokhara, which is about 60 km from Kathmandu, you will enjoy rafting on the fast-flowing Trishuli River. And then continue your drive. From there, it will take about 3 to 4 hours to reach Pokhara, which is a beautiful lake Pokhara city offering close views of the Annapurna mountain range and other tourist attractions. Then we will also visit Fewa Lake in the evening. And boating on Fewa Lake can be a fun activity. And overnight we will stay at the Mount View Hotel near Fewa Lake.

Day 04 :

Paragliding and Sightseeing tour in Pokhara

We will reach the foothills of Sarangkot Hill by a 30-minute drive in the morning. After a steep climb, Sarangkot Hill is popular for its spectacular sunrise views over Annapurna from Pokhara. From Sarangkot, we can enjoy panoramic views of the Pokhara Valley, its lakes and the surrounding mountains including Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre and Manaslu. We will then return to the hotel for breakfast and after breakfast, we will go for Paragliding where we will fly from at the Paragliding Point and land on the banks of Fewa Lake. After that, we will set off on a sightseeing tour of Pokhara. We will start the journey with a visit to Davis Falls. Locally known as Patle Chhago (meaning waterfall that goes into the abyss), this is the point where the water of the Pardi River falls into a tunnel and disappears underground. Next, we will visit the Vishwa Shanti Stupa, locally known as Shanti Stupa. It is located at an altitude of 1100 meters on top of Ananda Hill. Apart from being located in a peaceful environment, this place is also famous for its views of the Annapurna mountain range and Phewa Lake. And finally, we will end the day's tour with a visit to the International Mountain Museum.

Day 05 :

Drive to Chitwan National park from Pokhara

Our next destination is Chitwan, the home of the jungle. We will travel 3 to 4 hours by car from Pokhara to Chitwan. We will exit the East-West Highway at Narayanghat and take another 30 minutes drive to reach Chitwan National Park. We will spend the night in a comfortable Chitwan Forest Resort inside the park. In the evening, we will visit a Tharu village where we can watch their traditional stick dance.

Day 06 :

Full day Chitwan Jungle safari activites

This day is going to be very exciting. There are various options available to explore the dense forests of the park. We can walk and follow the tiger trail. If you choose to walk, we recommend that you never walk alone without a guide as many ferocious animals roam freely in this forest. Another option is to ride on the back of an elephant. Feel the adrenaline of a close encounter with a Bengal tiger and a one-horned rhinoceros from a safe height. We can also participate in cannon firing on the Rapti River. This park is rich in flora and fauna. The park provides shelter to 43 species of mammals, 45 species of amphibians and 500 species of birds. Gangetic dolphins can be found in the Rapti River. We will also visit an elephant breeding center.

Day 07 :

Drive from Chitwan to Nagarkot 4 to 5 hours

Kathmandu is located 158 km from Chitwan. It takes 4 to 5 hours to reach Kathmandu by private vehicle. We will enter Kathmandu from Thankot Checkpost and head towards Bhaktapur city. Following the Araniko Highway for about an hour and a half, we will reach Nagarkot, the nearest hill station from Kathmandu. We will climb to the top of the View Tower. If the weather is clear, we can see panoramic views of the mountains from Annapurna in the west to Everest in the east. Nagarkot also offers a spectacular view of the Kathmandu Valley.

Day 08 :

Visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square and return to Kathmandu

We will wake up early in the morning and visit the View Tower as Nagarkot is popular for sunrise viewing. The villages of Nagarkot are mostly inhabited by Tamang people and we can witness rural life in Nagarkot. The atmosphere is eerie only with the sound of leaves rustling in the forest when the light breeze blows. We will have our breakfast and depart for the medieval Newar city of Bhaktapur where we can observe life in its primitive forms. The Bhaktapur Durbar Square is listed as a UNESCO Heritage Site. We will explore the courtyards of the ancient royal residence then we will drive back to Kathmandu.

Departure or alternatively join other programs
