The Three Passes Trek is the most completed trek in Nepal as it covers most of the Everest region on its circular route. The trek is more challenging than the classic Everest Base Camp Trek and its other variations as it involves traversing the three high passes that lend the trek its name Kongma-La pass, Cho La pass and Renjo La pass- each over 5,000 m. These passes together form an excellent trekking package having fun, excitement, adventure and challenge it’s a great opportunity to witness the Everest Base Camp and Kalapathar too, on doing Everest Three Passes Trek. The Trek begins in the popular starting point of Lukla. From Lukla, we trek upward to the Namche Bazaar, following the valley of the Dudh Koshi River.
Outline Itinerary (Everest Three High Passes Trek) Kathmandu to Kathmandu
Day 00 : Arrival at Kathmandu, Tribhuvan International Airport, transfer to hotel by our representative
Day 01 : Kathmandu to Lukla (2,850m) fly – Duration: 35 minutes, and start trek to Phakding (2,626m) walk – Duration: 3 hrs
Day 02 : Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3,440m) walk – Duration: 6 hrs
Day 03 : Rest day at Namche Bazaar for acclimatization
Day 04 : Namche Bazaar to Tangboche (3,867m) walk – Duration: 5 hrs
Day 05 : Tangbche to Dingboche (4,410m) walk – Duration: 5.5 hrs
Day 06 : Rest day at Dingboche for acclimatization
Day 07 : Dingoche to Chhukhung (4,730m) walk – Duration: 4 hrs
Day 08 : Chhukhung to Lobuche (4,940m) crossing Kongma La Pass (5,535m) walk – Duration: 7 hrs
Day 09 : Lobuche to Gorakshep (5,160m), visit Everest Base Camp (5,364m) walk – Duration: 6-7 hrs/and back to Gorakshep for overnight stay
Day 10 : Gorakshep to Kalapatar and back, trek to Dzongla (4,830m) walk – Duration: 5 hrs
Day 11 : Dzongla to Gokyo Lake (4,790m) crossing Cho- La pass (5,420m) walk – Duration: 7 hrs
Day 12 : Gokyo visit to Gokyo Ri (5,340m) walk – Duration: 3 hrs (rest day)
Day 13 : Gokyo to Lungde (4,600m) crossing Renjo-La Pass (5,464m) walk – Duration: 6 hrs
Day 14 : Lungden to Thame (3,800m) walk – Duration: 4 hrs
Day 15 : Thame to Monjo (2,835m) walk – Duration: 6 hrs
Day 16 : Monjo to Lukla (2,815m) walk – Duration: 5 hrs
Day 17 : Fly back to Kathmandu within 35 minutes at Domestic airport and transfer to hotel
Day 00 : Transfer to airport, departure to your own destination
