The Everest Base Camp Trek via Gokyo Lake and Cho La Pass starts from the lower mountains and goes along the banks of the Dudh Koshi River to our bustling town of Namche and the world’s highest Everest National Park. Our actual trek starts with some easy trekking at the base of Khumbu and picks up speed as we climb challenging trails around the Chola Pass at an altitude of 5420 meters to reach the base of Everest. We also climb both the peaks of Gokyo Ri [5340m] and Kala Patthar [5545m] for magnificent views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu and Cho Oyu. While visiting the famous Everest Base Camp, witnessing the amazing Khumbu Icefall is a thrilling experience that will make your heart skip a beat.

You don’t have to be an expert mountaineer but some level of fitness is required to enjoy the trails on the Everest Base Camp and Gokyo Lakes Trek. Due to the snowy conditions at Cho La Pass, this trek is not recommended during winter [January and February] and monsoon season [July and August]. Spring and autumn would be the best times to do this trek.
