Chitwan Jungle Safari Tour

If you are looking for an opportunity to see the wildlife in their natural habitat, Chitwan Jungle Safari is an exciting and exotic way. Chitwan National Park is situated in the Terai of Central Nepal, which covers an area of 932 sq. km. in the subtropical lowland. It is an area of subtropical evergreen forest and has long been one of the country’s treasures – a fabulous wildlife sanctuary. It is a natural home of the endangered Royal Bengal tiger, the Indian one-horn rhino, sloth bear, langur monkeys, wild boar, leopards, jungle cats, over 400 species of colorful birds, and various types of deer.

Chitwan National Park was enlisted in the list of World Natural Heritage Sites in 1984 by UNESCO. Chitwan Jungle Safari includes an elephant ride or alternatively jeep drive into the dense jungle. This is an exciting way to explore the jungle’s wildlife at their natural home in a safe way. It also offers the close-up sight of the one-horn rhino in its natural habitat. Moreover, you can witness numerous species of deer, langur monkeys, wild boar, etc. Bird watching is an attraction, either as permanent residents or migratory visitors, over 400 bird species can be viewed in the jungle and in open grassland. Canoeing along the Rapti River on the western side of the Chitwan National Park provides the fantastic experience of viewing a quarter of the world’s remaining Gharial population sheltered there.
