Mulde Viewpoint Trek

We recommend arriving in Kathmandu in the morning or afternoon so you have enough time to relax, recover from jet lag, and prepare for your upcoming trekking adventure.

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your booked hotel by private vehicle. After checking in, you can relax and enjoy the rest of the day at your own pace.

Overnight Stay — You will spend the night at your booked hotel in Kathmandu. Use this time to rest, organize your trekking gear, and prepare for the adventure ahead.

Important: Please share your confirmed flight arrival time and flight number with us in advance so we can coordinate your airport pickup smoothly. If your flight is delayed, inform our team as soon as possible.

After breakfast at your hotel in Kathmandu, we will begin our scenic drive to Pokhara, a beautiful lakeside city and the gateway to the Annapurna region. The drive usually takes around 5–6 hours, depending on traffic, road conditions, and the number of stops along the way.

During the journey, you can enjoy views of green hills, terraced farmland, rivers, traditional villages, and beautiful landscapes along the Prithvi Highway. We may stop along the way for refreshments, lunch, and restroom breaks.

Upon arrival in Pokhara, you will check in at your hotel and have time to relax. If time permits, you can explore the Lakeside area, enjoy a peaceful walk beside Phewa Lake, visit local shops, or enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding hills.

Pokhara is a wonderful place to relax before beginning your Mulde Viewpoint Trek.

Note: Road travel can take longer than expected because of traffic, construction, or weather. Allow extra time if you have activities or arrangements planned in Pokhara after arrival.

After breakfast at your hotel in Pokhara, we will drive to Kimche via Nayapul. The drive takes approximately 2.5 hours, depending on road and traffic conditions. During the journey, you can enjoy views of green hills, terraced farmland, rivers, and traditional villages in the Annapurna region.

Upon reaching Kimche, we will begin our trek to Ghandruk, a beautiful traditional Gurung village located at approximately 2,012 meters (6,601 feet) above sea level. The walk takes around 2 hours, depending on your pace and the trail conditions.

The trail passes through charming mountain settlements, stone-paved paths, terraced fields, and scenic countryside. Along the way, you can experience the peaceful atmosphere of rural Nepal and enjoy views of the surrounding hills and Himalayan mountains when the weather is clear.

After arriving in Ghandruk, you can explore the village, observe traditional Gurung architecture, and learn about the local culture and lifestyle. Ghandruk is also famous for its spectacular views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail). The evening relaxing, local lodge and enjoy a delicious dinner, while preparing for the next day's trekking adventure.

After breakfast at your teahouse in Ghandruk, we will begin our trek to Tadapani, a beautiful mountain settlement surrounded by lush forests in the Annapurna region. The trek takes approximately 5 hours, depending on your walking pace, rest stops, and trail conditions.

We will leave Ghandruk and follow scenic stone-paved paths and forest trails, gradually ascending through beautiful rhododendron and oak forests. Along the way, you can enjoy fresh mountain air, peaceful natural surroundings, and occasional views of the magnificent Annapurna range.

During spring (March to May), the rhododendron forests are especially beautiful, with colorful flowers decorating the trail. You may also encounter local villagers and fellow trekkers along the way.

As we gain elevation, the trail passes through quiet woodland and shaded sections before reaching Tadapani at approximately 2,630 meters (8,628 feet) above sea level.

Upon arrival, you can settle into your teahouse, relax, and enjoy the surrounding forest scenery. From here, you may catch beautiful views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) from the surrounding area. Enjoy dinner and a peaceful overnight stay in Tadapani, preparing for the next stage of your Mulde Viewpoint Trek.

After breakfast at your teahouse in Tadapani, we will begin our trek towards Dobato, a peaceful mountain stop surrounded by beautiful forests in the Annapurna region. The walk takes approximately 5 hours, depending on the group's pace, rest breaks, and trail conditions.

The trail passes through enchanting rhododendron and oak forests, with sections of uphill and downhill walking. As we gradually gain elevation, the landscape changes, offering beautiful forest scenery, fresh mountain air, and occasional glimpses of the surrounding Himalayan peaks.

During spring (March to May), the rhododendron forests are particularly attractive, with colorful flowers along the trail. The peaceful woodland paths also make this section a wonderful opportunity to enjoy nature away from busier trekking routes.

As we approach Dobato, the trail becomes more mountainous, and the temperature may drop, especially in the afternoon and evening. Upon arrival, we will check in at a local teahouse or lodge, where you can rest and enjoy a warm meal.

Dobato is an important overnight stop for trekkers planning to visit Mulde Viewpoint early the following morning. Where, the surrounding area may offer impressive views of the Himalayan landscape. Enjoy dinner and a good night's rest before the early morning viewpoint excursion.

Today is one of the highlights of the Mulde Viewpoint Trek. We will wake up early in the morning and hike to Mulde Viewpoint at 3,637 meters (11,932 feet) to enjoy the spectacular Himalayan sunrise and panoramic mountain views.

Early Morning: Hike to Mulde Viewpoint

We will leave Dobato early, usually before sunrise, and hike for approximately 30 minutes to reach Mulde Viewpoint. The trail may be steep or slippery in places, so we will walk carefully with headlamps or flashlights. From the viewpoint, you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, along with Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and other Himalayan peaks.

As the first sunlight touches the snow-covered mountains, the scenery becomes especially beautiful. This is an excellent opportunity to take photographs, enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere, and appreciate the natural beauty of the Annapurna region. After spending some time at the viewpoint, we will return to our lodge in Dobato for breakfast, before continuing our trek.

Trek from Dobato to Ghorepani

After breakfast, we will continue our journey towards Ghorepani. The trek takes approximately 5 hours, depending on the walking pace, rest breaks, and trail conditions. The route passes through beautiful forests, mountain paths, and scenic hills. Along the way, we will experience changing landscapes and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of the Annapurna region.

There may be uphill and downhill sections, so we will maintain a comfortable pace and take regular breaks as needed. Upon reaching Ghorepani at approximately 2,850 meters (9,350 feet), we will check into a local teahouse or lodge and enjoy well-deserved rest.

Ghorepani is a popular mountain village known for its trekking atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, and access to the famous Poon Hill viewpoint. Enjoy dinner and relax for the evening after a rewarding day of mountain scenery and trekking.

Today is the final trekking day of our Mulde Viewpoint Trek. We will start early in the morning with a hike to the famous Poon Hill viewpoint to enjoy the sunrise over the magnificent Himalayan mountain ranges. Therefore, we will wake up early, usually before sunrise, and hike from Ghorepani to Poon Hill at approximately 3,210 meters (10,531 feet). The uphill walk generally takes around 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on the group's pace. You can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, along with Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and other snow-covered Himalayan peaks.

Watching the morning sunlight illuminate the mountains is a memorable experience and an excellent opportunity to take photographs. After spending some time at the viewpoint, we will descend to Ghorepani for breakfast before continuing our journey.

After breakfast, we will begin our descent from Ghorepani towards Hille. The trail passes through beautiful forests, traditional villages, stone steps, and terraced farmland. Along the way, you can enjoy the natural beauty of the Annapurna region and observe local village life. The descent includes long stretches of stone staircases, so we will walk carefully and take breaks whenever needed. Upon reaching Hille, we will meet our vehicle for the drive to Pokhara.

From Hille, we will drive to Pokhara, a beautiful lakeside city at approximately 822 meters (2,697 feet) above sea level. The drive takes approximately 2–3 hours, depending on road conditions and traffic. The journey offers views of green hills, rural settlements, rivers, and the surrounding countryside. Upon arrival in Pokhara, we will transfer you to your hotel. You can relax after completing the trek or enjoy a leisurely walk around Lakeside and Phewa Lake if time and energy permit. This marks the completion of your memorable Mulde Viewpoint Trek.

After breakfast at your hotel in Pokhara, we will begin our drive back to Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. The journey takes approximately 5–6 hours, depending on traffic, road conditions, weather, and stops along the way.

During the drive, you can enjoy the scenic landscapes of Nepal, including green hills, terraced farmland, rivers, traditional villages, and beautiful countryside views. We will stop along the way for lunch, refreshments, and restroom breaks as needed. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, our vehicle will transfer you to your hotel. After check-in, you can relax and enjoy the remainder of the day at your leisure.

If time and energy permit, you can explore Thamel, visit local shops, purchase souvenirs, or enjoy a meal at one of Kathmandu's many restaurants. It is also a good opportunity to shop for gifts and reflect on the memorable experiences of your Mulde Viewpoint Trek.

Today marks the end of your memorable journey in Nepal. After breakfast at your hotel, you will have some free time to relax or do some last-minute shopping, depending on your flight schedule. At the appropriate time, our representative will meet you at your hotel and transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu by private vehicle for your onward journey.

We recommend leaving your hotel with plenty of time to reach the airport, allowing for Kathmandu traffic, airline check-in, immigration, and security procedures. For international flights, arriving at the airport approximately 3 hours before departure is generally advisable, but please follow your airline's instructions.
