Highlights Of Dzo Jongo Peak Climbing 6250m. (West)

Dzo Jongo trekking peak climbing is one of the most popular peak in Ladakh. It is located east of Leh at an altitude of 6,218 meters. Hidden in plain sight in a secret location, Dzo Jongo peak is a magnificent peak that will leave you mesmerized. This Dzo Jongo trekking peak climbing takes you through the barren but stunning and beautiful Marka Valley and Nimaling valley. This stunning peak has long been dominated by it’s more famous neighbors, Kang Yatse I (6,400m) and Kang Yatse II (6,250m).

Dzo Jongo peak climbing is a climbing peak located in Leh, India. The journey is challenging due to the remote and difficult terrain. Trekkers sometimes face challenges like altitude sickness, lack of oxygen, extreme weather conditions. Because the Dzo Jongo expedition involves crossing snow-covered glaciers, which is difficult with limited equipment and experience.

Therefore, previous high pass trekking or climbing experience is beneficial. You should be moderately fit and enjoy walking, adapted to high altitude conditions. And you need a very strong physical stamina level. This grade hike includes the use of peak climbing equipment (harness, crampons, climbing boots, Ascender). We also offer a climbing course at base camp before the actual climb where your guides will teach you the skills you need to climb.

From the high peak one can see a panoramic view of Zanskar Valley, Karakoram Valley, Kangyatse one (1) and Kangyatse two (2), Stok Kangri Valley as well as Changthang Valley. This hidden gem is actually an off-beat destination for trekking, which not many people know about! The stillness of the mountain as well as the long and silky glacial slopes with 80° glacial passes make Dzo Jongo a blend of peace and defiance. Although brutal with its difficult slopes and cold winds at high altitudes.
