Panchase Danda Trek is yet another one of Nepal’s hidden cultural and natural gems. The trek is located in the same region as the popular Annapurna Circuit Trek and Annapurna Base Camp Trek and is often overlooked by hikers. It is a small trek ideal for experiencing beautiful natural scenery and mountain peak views within a short amount of time. The Panchase Danda Trek is a great trek for families and beginners and offers some of the best viewpoints to see the Annapurna range as well as other mountain peaks including Dhaulagiri (8167m), Lamjung Himal (6983m), and Machhapuchhre (6993m). Apart from being a great introduction to trekking in the Himalayas and offering a great experience for those with a short amount of time available, it provides amazing diversity and beauty in the scenery as the trek goes through lush rice fields, lavish vegetation, and local Gurung communities and villages.

The Panchase Danda Trek sets off with a boat trip across the beautiful Phewa Lake to your starting point. You will climb through a lush forest before reaching the stairs that lead up to the famous Buddhist World Peace Pagoda. 80 World Peace Pagodas have been built around the world in an attempt to promote world peace. The pagoda itself is a remarkable sight; however, it also offers breathtaking views of Phewa Lake and the city of Pokhara. You continue your trek down through a little forest before ascending again to reach Bumdi, your destination for the day. The trail leads you through a beautiful forest with great opportunities to see some of the wildlife of the area, such as a vast amount of rare birds and monkeys as well! You continue the trek, passing some great panoramic viewpoints before arriving at Bhanjyang. On your third day, you will reach the summit of Panchase Hill (2500m), which is the highest point of your trek. Apart from the awe-inspiring view from Panchase Hill, it is also one of the best places to witness the sunrise as it bathes the mighty mountain peaks in golden sunlight in a truly remarkable sight! Continuing down through the village of Alldanda, you will follow the trail to Bhadaure. On your last day, you will follow a trail winding its way down through local villages and across streams before finally reaching your destination of Naudanada, from where you will get transport back to Pokhara. Day 01 :

Arrival in Kathmandu 1,350m/4,429ft.

We recommend that you schedule your arrival in Kathmandu in the morning or afternoon. This will give you enough time to relax and recover from jet lag before starting your adventure. Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airport, our representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel where you will be served welcome drinks. After you have freshened up, your trek guide will brief you about your trip in the lobby of your hotel in the evening.

Get familiar with your surroundings by taking a walk down the street. Visit to Thamel, the main tourist hub. Overnight at Kathmandu's in a Hotel.

Day 02 :

Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara 827m/2,713ft. 6-7hrs

After breakfast early morning, you will take a tourist bus to Pokhara. If you are lucky and get the right side of the bus, you can take pleasure in amazing views of green mountains and villages. Upon reaching the enchanting city of Pokhara which offers magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhare, peaks of Annapurna and others, you'll check in to the hotel. Pokhara has numerous lakes, known as ‘Tal’ in Nepali which offer fishing, boating and swimming. Strolling around the Lakeside city and exploring it in the evening is enjoyable. Day 03 :

Drive from Pokhara to Peace Stupa by private car and trek to Bhumdi 3-4hrs

Morning after breakfast, you will drive off to World Peace Stupa which will take about 45 minutes. From World Peace Stupa, you'll start your trek along dense forests of rhododendron to reach the beautiful Gurung village of Bhumdi that also hosts an alluring view of Mt. Machhapuchhre (6993m), Annapurna range, Hiunchuli (6441m), and the other Himalayas. Overnight at lodge in Bhumdi.

Day 04 :

Trek from Bhumdi to Panchase Bhanjyang 2030m/6660ft. 5-6hrs

Trekking through lush forests, you'll relish the beautiful panorama of Mt. Machhapuchhre (6993m), Annapurna range, Hiunchuli (6441m), and the other Himalayas on your way to Panchase Bhanjyang. You will pass Chisapani, Thame Danda, and several other small villages as you'll cross different small streams to reach your destination. You will make a steep climb to arrive in Panchase Bhanjyang. Overnight at lodge in Panchase Bhanjyang.

Day 05 :

Trek from Panchase Bhanjyang to Chitre 1400m/4593ft. 4-5hrs

Today your trek uphill through dense forests to the top of Panchase Ridge (2517m) which is the highest point of your trek. From the top of the ridge, you can relish the spectacular panorama of Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri range, and Mt. Machhapuchhre (6993m) along with Pokhara valley and Kusma Bazaar. Then trek downhill to Chitre. Overnight at lodge in Chitre.

Day 06 :

Trek from Chitre to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara 4-5hrs

Trekking through alpine forests, you'll reach the small village of Thamarjung where you will have your lunch. Relishing the beautiful vista of Mt. Machhapuchhre (6993m), Annapurna range, and Dhaulagiri range, your trek for a couple of hours to reach Nayapul. From Nayapul, and drive to Pokhara enjoying the beautiful countryside view by private vehicle and transfer to hotel. Overnight at Pokhara.

Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu 1,350m/4,429ft. 6-7hrs

Rest of the day can be spent at leisure or perhaps catching up with some last minute shopping or exploring any sights you missed during your first day in Kathmandu. Overnight at Kathmandu.
