Bardia National Park Tour

A representative from AlpineTrav Treks will pick you up from Nepalgunj Airport. Bardia National Park is only 90 kilometers and a 2-hour drive away from Nepalgunj. After checking into your resort, you will take a tour of an authentic Tharu village. The Tharus are believed to be the original inhabitants of the local jungle area. You will also visit the Bardia National Park visitor center and its crocodile farm. Overnight stay at Bardia National Park.

After breakfast, you will venture deep into the woods on foot, accompanied by a nature guide and porter. The steamy jungles of Bardia are home to a number of wild animals, including the Asian elephant, one-horned rhinoceros, spotted deer, hog deer, barking deer, sambar, swamp deer, black buck, wild boar, royal Bengal tiger, leopard, golden jackal, striped hyena, and others. There are also towers (Machan) at various locations within the jungle where you can wait for unsuspecting wildlife to pass you by. Your experienced nature guide will help us track the animals. After the jungle tour, you will return to your resort, enjoy dinner, and participate in the traditional Tharu dance.

After breakfast, you'll take a one-hour drive to Chisapani, a village on the Karnali River. Here, you embark on a Safari float, a gentle way to explore the river and its wildlife in western Nepal. Accompanied by a trained guide, we’ll float down the river, admiring the sub-tropical landscape and catching glimpses of wild animals quenching their thirst in the Karnali River. You may even spot some endangered Gharial crocodiles, marsh muggers, and Gangetic dolphins that call the river home. This trip is also ideal for bird-watching, as there are many resident and migratory bird species in the Bardia National Park. You'll end the day with another Tharu cultural dance program, and spend the night in Bardia National Park.

The following day, you'll start your morning with a delicious breakfast before heading out on a jeep safari. The jeep will take you through the dense jungles of Bardia, where you’ll have a chance to spot the park’s most famous inhabitants, including Bengal tigers, one-horned rhinoceroses, Asian elephants, and more. With your experienced nature guide by our side, you’ll track the wildlife and learn about the park’s ecosystem. After the jeep safari, you'll return to your resort for dinner and a relaxing evening. You can also choose to take a nature walk or participate in other optional activities offered by the resort. Overnight in Bardia National Park.

After breakfast, you'll embark on an exciting jeep safari to explore the depths of Bardia National Park. This safari provides a better chance of spotting wildlife as it covers a larger area in a shorter time. Your expert guide will help you track animals such as Bengal tigers, one-horned rhinoceroses, wild elephants, and an array of bird species. The jeep safari is a safe and exhilarating way to experience the wilderness of Nepal.

After the safari, a representative from AlpineTrav Treks will drop you off at Nepalgunj airport. This marks the end of your unforgettable journey through the lush jungles and breathtaking landscapes of Bardia National Park.
