Everest, the world’s highest, is located in the Khumbu region in the east of Nepal. Everest View Trek gives you the best opportunity to see Mount Everest at its full height. Everest View Trek begins after a flight from the International Airport in Kathmandu to Lukla. The flight itself is mind-blowing as it navigates you through sublime sceneries! You can enjoy the views of green forests, villages, and the panorama of snowcapped mountains.

The trek begins from Lukla to Namche Bazaar (3440m), you will walk through the Sagarmatha National Park’s lush vegetation. Mesmerizing pine forests, sublime rhododendrons, and a rich tapestry of wildlife make your trekking both soothing and euphoric. From Namche, you will hike to the Everest View Hotel (3800m) to watch the sunrise as well as a panoramic view of Everest Lhotse face. You will also visit the Tourist Visitor Center near the Sagarmatha National Park headquarters, where you can observe an assortment of things related to the first Everest ascenders, Sherpa culture and learn about various plants animal species of the Everest Region.

This Everest View Trek is short and easy, thus extremely suitable for those trekkers who have a short vacation in Nepal and do not want to miss an opportunity to explore the Everest region, Himalayans. Trip Itinerary

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu Airport and transfer to
Day 02: Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2650m) 3-4 hrs.
Day 03: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m) 6-7 hrs.
Day 04: Visit to Everest view hotel (3800m) – and Thame (3810m).
Day 05: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Monjo (2840m) 5-6 hrs.
Day 06: Trek from Monjo to Lukla (2860m) 5 hrs.
Day 07: Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu and transfer to Hotel.
Day 08: Drop to Airport for final departure.

Important Notice: (Domestic Flight From KTM-Lukla-KTM)
Due to avoid air traffic congestion at Kathmandu Airport and for smooth flights operation, the Lukla flights shall be operated from Ramechhap (Manthali) Airport effective from Spring (April 1, to May 31, 2024) and Autumn (October 1 to November 30, 2024)

In this matter, you need 1 buffer day to manage all transfer to and from Manthali Airport (or we adjust the program on Day 2 that you will do the guided sightseeing tour at Kathmandu) in the afternoon, transfer to Manthali. We would like to suggest you for driving to Manthali which is 4 hours driving away from Kathmandu and spend a night there at a hotel. On return, you can fly to Manthali Airport and same day drive back to Kathmandu.

  • Additional activities could be either added or reduced as per client's request before the confirmation of the trip.
  • The price shall be adjusted in our mutual understanding; if the client intends to add some services, we shall charge for those additional services, if intends to lessen some services, we shall wave the charges accordingly.
  • The itinerary is published in full board operation services for a clear understanding of the client. But, required for Trekking cost depends on porter request or exclusion too.
  • The above offer price is full board standard format of itineraries which are all inclusive. But, the cost depends also on request category hotel accommodation in Kathmandu or Pokhara.

Details Itinerary

Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport, Nepal. Upon completing the visa formalities and collecting your luggages in the airport, kindly proceed to the exit of the arrival hall. Please look out for a placard of your name at the exit of arrival hall. Your trip leader will await you just outside the arrival hall and will escort you to your hotel in Kathmandu. Welcome drinks will be served and after you’ve refreshed, your trek leader will brief you about your trip.

From Kathmandu, we will leave for a 35 minutes scenic flight to Lukla. Tenzing-Hillary Airport in Lukla is one of the most thrilling airports in the world for its location. On reaching Lukla, meeting with guide and porters, then we slowly head towards Phakding passing through forest trails, villages and agricultural fields. After walking for 3-4 hours, we reach Phakding which lies on the bank of Dudh Koshi River. Overnight at a lodge in Phakding.

The walk from Phakding to Namche Bazaar takes about 5-6 hours. Trekking alongside Bhote Koshi River, we cross several bridges and gorges and also enter Sagarmatha National Park. Namche Bazaar, also known as the Gateway to Everest, is a hub for Sherpa traders and has many shops, hotel, lodges, internet cafes, and bakeries. A stunning panorama of Everest (8848m) awaits us in Namche. Overnight at a lodge in Namche Bazaar.

Namche is actually a prosperous village located in a great outdoor depression that gives you a fantastic experience. So, here you will see many things. We will trek to Everest View Hotel from where you will be mesmerized by the breathtaking views of Khumbu peaks like Thamserku (6608m), Ama Dablam (6856m) and Everest. Also, we will visit Thame too (3810m) in the magnificent Bhotekhola river valley.

From Namche, we will cross bridges and walk along the trail of Bhote Koshi River until we reach Monjo. As we exit Sagarmatha National Park near of Monjo or Phakding stay at night.

Following the Bhote Koshi River, we retrace our way back to Lukla walking through the rhododendron and magnolia forest. The trail would look even more captivating if walked during the spring season with the flowers in full bloom. En route to Lukla, we pass Phakding and other small Sherpa villages while walking by Mani walls and prayer wheels. Overnight at a lodge in Lukla.

From Lukla, we board a scenic flight back to Kathmandu. Relishing an aerial view of the mountains, the hills, the rivers and their tributaries, we arrive in Kathmandu. Our staff will drive you back to hotel from the airport. You can spend your leisure time in Kathmandu as you will. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.

  • According to the above trekking package, AlpineTrav Treks & Expeditions will arrange two nights Hotel accommodations in Kathmandu.
  • AlpineTrav Treks will provide Experienced and government authorized (licensed holder) high altitude trekking guide during the trekking period.
  • AlpineTrav Treks & Expeditions also provides an assistant guide on a group basis to assist members in trekking. (necessary)

  • Alpine Trav Treks will arrange regular flight tickets from Kathmandu to Lukla and Lukla to Kathmandu for trekking members and guides.
  • AlpineTrav Treks & Expeditions will provide you with a clean and cozy teahouse/lodge to stay in and eat during the trekking.
  • Most of the trekking trail, lunch is done on the way between the starting and ending the day of hiking while dinner and breakfast at the teahouse/lodge where you have overnight stay. AlpineTrav Treks & Expeditions provides a fresh breakfast, lunch, and dinner with tea/coffee at the tea house's menu throughout the trekking. (clean, Nutritious, and fresh food)
  • AlpineTrav Treks & Expeditions allow up to 15kg of personal trekking equipment per person during the flight onboard and the trekking period carried by porters or yak.
  • As Everest View is at the Mount Everest National Park territory, AlpineTrav Treks provide you a permit for Mount Everest National Park.
  • The Trekkers' Information Management Systems permit issued by the trekking agency association of Nepal is required to enter the area of Everest National Park, so AlpineTrav Treks provide you a TIMS permit too.
  • AlpineTrav Treks & Expeditions provides all wages, equipment, and insurance for elaborate trekking staff.
  • AlpineTrav Treks & Expeditions provide first aid medical kits for the group and the staff, taking care of your trekking and health safety.

  • The above offer price includes our service charges, government charges, and all taxes and vat. Except for the above amount, there are not any hidden costs charged by us.

Cost Exclusion

  • Kathmandu is capital city of Nepal, and since this place offers high quality and delicious food from different countries and groups, we were hoping you could taste the meals you like. For that reason, during your stay in Kathmandu, you will have to arrange lunch and dinner for yourself.
  • Suppose you want to take any packed food, snacks, drinks, energy drinks, mineral water, and carbonated soft drinks, any types of alcohol, cigarettes, chocolates, and nutria-bars during the trek. In that case, you have to buy it yourself.
  • Expenses incurred towards usage of Items of personal trekking equipment, laundry expenses, tips, Landlines, mobiles, satellite phones, and the internet service exclude in the package.
  • Trekking is an adventurous activity that always takes place in remote areas. So, safety is the primary factor for us. Therefore, you have to have your travel insurance covering the cost of emergency rescue, medical treatment, medical tests, and hospitalization before you arrive for the trip to Nepal.
  • The package cost offered above does not include your international flight ticket and Nepal's tourist visa, so that you have to pay for your international flight ticket and tourist visa yourself.
  • Any extra expenses arising out of various/unforeseen situations like natural disasters, landslides, political disturbances, changes in government regulations exclude.
