In case of difficulty, Annapurna Base Camp Trek is bit tougher than Langtang Valley, mainly due to higher altitude, long distance and duration, distance from Kathmandu, comparatible terrains, etc. While Langtang Valley is still tough, and requires decent level of physical fitness, and preparation beforehand, it is not as hard as Annapurna Base Camp trek.

No, even though you are close to Annapurna from Langtang region, cannot see Annapurna as it is a corner. However, during your trek in Langtang region, you can see other peaks like Ganesh Himal, Langtang Lirung, Yala Peak, etc. Despite being among the short duration treks, the trekkers can still get a glimpse of high-altitude mountain trekking.
